I can vouch. Thought my rhino shot had suddenly sprouted a boomerang, didn’t realize anybody was still online. Looked at my recording, ran down toward Priestking. Then suddenly, you appeared!.
It’s not just that you could zoom, but holding the right button (even with a timer until loose) was really great. That one feature keeps me from using bows very much. Mechanically, holding RMB it used to be “bow ready to fire with the ability to cancel” then IIRC it became “bow ready to fire within a window of time.” In other words, full control of aiming/reticle while in the “cocked” state.
ETA: I never had much use for archery until Frozen North, thus my depth of archery knowledge say, pre-climbing, is not terribly developed.
