Hi, and so you know - AI is really dumb in this game, and i want to suggest few features:
1.If you climb on something, where human enemies cant reach you - they will start throwing rocks at you.
2.If enemies are heavily wounded - they will sometimes try to escape, would work nice for most animals and some human enemies to add some complexity to capturing/hunting etc process.
3.NPC’s recognize clothing and weapons. Example - if you wear Black Hand clothes - pirates won’t attack you first, but if they see you drawing weapon and they aren’t already hostile (another players count too) - you’ll hear a warning, something like “we don’t do that here”, then you must have some time to hide it back or NPC’s will turn hostile.
4.Some actions, that NPC’s arent using now - shielding (fighters with shields have no benefit from having it yet), kicking (to break block) and sprinting.
5.No brainless chase through all the map - enemies have some action radius - if you run too far - they will give up chasing you.
6.Some herbivores live in groups and will all run away when they see player or carnivorous animals. Wolves have alpha-wolf and if you kill it or make it run - the whole group will run away.
7.Removing the decorative animal corpses and making hunter animals feasting upon real prey and if you don’t come too near to them - they won’t draw aggro.
I suggested all enemies bringing a ranged weapon months ago as well. I still support this.
Only if cripple gets heavier impact and those fleeing enemies/animals get a speed boost for fleeing.
I like that idea. But they should eighter be enraged that the player disguised himself as one of them or any else idea about how to make up for him to have come this near without the NPCs attacking him… Or am I wrong?
It always seemed strange that shields wouldnt already grant armor. With new combos, the damage makes sense at least… But I agree. NPCs should be able to do all the different combos, not just some light chain and random heavy attacks.
I’d suggest allowing Thralls and select creatures, like spiders, be able to climb for a random number of seconds. If they dont reach a standable place, they reverse climb back to where they began. Standing on a foundation and stabbing Thralls with a spear isn’t too sporting. Also, a purge could work against a building built on a hill or spire. Can you imagine dozens of spiders climbing up the walls to your roof?
the issue with some of those suggestions is that Funcom simply doesn’t have the tech to do these things.
Ideas are creative though.
Or seeing the Forgotten Legion Climbing the walls. Nothing goes Harryhausen movie special than climbing skeletons.
