Auto mods download feature

Hello, I have seen on previous comunity newsletter that you are working for auto mod download in game directly.
Is it possible to know if you have an approximatly date of this feature ? Can we see it in game this year or next year ?

Anyone else have problem after setting mod order changes on own after restart and will be way of mods auto updating on server or will have do manually and if will show more then 10 mods in list for random people to join

@0to100 I would recommend making a thread in the Bug section for your issue with the order they’re in, maybe you’ll come across people and solutions faster that way.

Now, for your questions, I’m just a wiki editor and not so technical, but I’ll make an assumption. I’m not sure of anything.

  • will mods be auto-updating on the server?
    This is only for auto-downloading them as the player. I do think admins still have to manually update their mods.
    (If possible, It’d maybe be a good suggestion to make them show up in the same window for updating -for the admin- if they don’t auto-update).
  • will it show more then 10 mods?
    I do think so, otherwise they’d find out it doesn’t and it’ll get fixed, because it needs to be able to. It will only show the mods that the players don’t have though, so it is unlikely to show 10 mods imo.

The only information currently available on it is what I’ve written down on the Automatic Downloading of Mods page on the Official Wiki.

It would be a godsend for private server owners and users for this to be implemented, and many of us are drooling in anticipation. :drooling_face:

Thanks have my own rented but might let go trying find one with mods and know you have manually update restart seems everyone wants official pc or console then sometimes too many on them and you have rented ones with 50 slots and no one there

Well people care when it’s not on the wiki, so I added it in, even though it’s not an ETA. I already knew of this reply.
