So i played in singleplayer and after gathering everything and making my escape item i wondered about the last thing the Staff told me about the serpent ring of set and that the godkings would know more.
The Archivist tells me this thing is gone beyond my reach. The Warmaker tells me Toth Amon took it.
But i found a way to summon the servant of the Ring which is odd because you can spawn him and he looks like a mummy anubis. Anyway. After beating that guy. He drops the essence of set.
Now with that also in your inventory i again go and talk to the staff which for some odd reason did not vanish once i beat the degenerate who for some strange reason kept despawning once i beat him. So i had to use the admin mode to give me the stone he drops. But not before i realized that the awakend staff is the same staff the degenerate is using against you to summon his ghost army.
The staff after this tells you an amazing story. He is somewhat relieved that it has come to this and admits betraying the god kings on purpose as he was gifted to them by the serpentman. He serves the serpentman who are almost extinct.
He whispered to the warmaker to doom his own race, he whispered to the Archivar and lured him into his death. He whispered to the priestking who cursed his ownly child and he is responsible for the creation of the bracelets and the walls that are present in the exiled lands.
And he whispered to YOU (and then his voice changes) and that your treacherous race needs to be cleansed for the crimes of your Race and the crimes of KING KULL of ATLANTIS! YOUR RACE WILL BE CLEANSED
Basically the Staff is the main antagonist of this entire game.
So my questions are the following and hopefully someone can help me.
Who is that King Kull and can i read up on the guy?
Why is the servant of the ring not wandering around somewhere for us to kill and get this amazing dialouge?
Toth Amon is like the Nemesis of Conan. But he took the ring from the unnamed city who was hidden underground the city. If that is so. Where is that dungeon? I was literally everywhere in that city and there is no such place.
Thanks in advance.
Oh and if you want to reproduce this. Simply awaken the staff talk to him and collect the items exactly as he tells you but do not have the staff in your inventory but place it in your base and keep it there. Kill the degenerate get back to the staff and he will talk to you about the ring of set.
Summon the âStory_WildlifeBossâ and kill it to get the essence of the ring. Talk to the staff again. Enjoy.
Thanks but i was hoping some kind of source for comics or stuff like that cause i found literally 0 of it on my own. Only references to certain comics or stories written in the past. Cause i would like to know more why the serpentman hated Kull that much that they hate all of humanity in the game.
The buried part is not only highly unlikely it is downright impossible. Toth Amon lives in stygia a kingdom that exists in the current time. Toth Amon also visited the city and took the ring in the current time frame because conan is alive and they hate each other.
Also as far as i know conan is the one killing the thief who took the ring so it finds itâs way back to amon later on. However for Amon to find the ring in the first place the dungeon in which he found it can not be buried. That would just make no sense.
Man i hope we get some insight into this in an update or something similar.
You see , I really like the whole staff idea, but he always bugs out on me. Starts normal, and then just keeps repeating the same line over and over, I still havenât heard all of the standard âdialoguesâ let alone this new stuff.
This is a great find, kudos for delving into the lore.
Kull of Atlantis is sort of a prequel to Conan as a whole. The Hyborian age, aka the setting of this game, takes place between the real-world ice age and the age of Kull, before the Cataclysm.
The Cataclysm caused the sinking of the old world, including the ancient kingdoms of Atlantis, Thuria, and others. All the humans of hyboria are remnants of these precursors, and back in those times the serpent-men were more present and the enemy of men. After the sinking, the humans obviously came out better off, as instanced by the fate of the degenerate.
So Kull was before the cataclysm and the King of Atlantis and the Serpent-Ment and the humand didnt like each other. Probably went to war with each other. And when the cataclysm happend, humanity prevailed but the serpent-man sank into chaos and degeneration?
That would explain alot because they saw they would die and decided they take everyone they can with them. Why the God Kings, Lemurians got played against each other while the serpent-man sat in their volcano waiting for their second doomsday âExtinctionâ
I must say i would pay money to watch movies about all of that like Lord of the Rings. Cause that all sounds pretty awesome ^^
Wow this is a very intriguing find, hats off to you BerserkerCookie. While I personally had listened to its dialogue and and guidance for the 6 artifacts currently present in the game, I had not heard anything which comes after defearing the Mummy of the Ring. Although I knew that we could spawn the Mummy of the Ring in via the admin panel, I had been waiting for him to be fully implemented in order to slay him and complete the Journey Step. He simply feels too weak and unfinished in his current state, and I want my final showdown with him to feel epic.
He is a treacherous b*astard that staff isnt he! When I first heard him soeak to us I smiled feeling his voice sounds Monty Python-esque. I am now curious to hear his voice change dialogue.
Unless we have another dungeon coming, specifically to the Unnamed City, my understanding/interpretation of the ingame lore is that the Serpent Ring of Set was kept in the room beneath the Citadel of the Triumvirate (near Warmaker Klael, where the Snake world boss currently is). Thoth Amon, posing as an ally of the GiantKings stole it then fled back to Stygia. The Mummy (who is really due for implementationâŠ), aka the servant of the ring, is as such imbued with a portion of its power ie-the essence.
Other members have already linked you some resources regarding Kull of Atlantis. So I thought I would instead link you some resources surrounding the Serpentmen.
The Serpentmen of Valusia are regarded as ancient enemies of humankind who previously sought to rule over and control all of human civilization. Generally speaking humans and serpentmen despise each other. In the Exiled Lands lore, when humans ventured further north into the Volcano they discovered the Serpentmen hiding there. Furthermore, when they discovered that the GiantKings had an alliance with this ancient enemy, it was one of the causes of the ensuing war. Although there were also other contributing factors at play.
Thanks for the lore of the Serpentmen.
Especially the part ka nama kaa lajerama is something i heard before but i canât for the life of me point it down.
I feel like a little kid again taking all the lore in. Thanks alot for that.
Letâs hope the servant of the ring is implemented soon for everyone to enjoy this last piece of information to make you realize who the real antagonist is in this game. Cause i honestly thought the entire time it was just either the god kings or the lemurians hating each other because the serpentmen lived near them and are ancient enemies of lemurians. But to find out their staff betrayed literally everyone was astounding to me.
The idea that the snake protected the ring kinda makes sense. If Toth Amon was of the same faith and maybe could talk the ancient language maybe he just talked his way through the snake to get the ring. Because what i found out so far this dude has 0 power without that ring. But with it he is almost unstoppable.
But what baffles my mind so far is the albino bat tower. If you need that to awaken the staff. Wtf is inside it and where did it come from? According to the purple stone you get from the degenerate they used it to create said staff. But i found literally nothing of who that guy is or where he/it comes from. But he hates humans thats for sure.
Well you will find on the north part of the stone wall of the unnamed city a large crack in the wall you cannot enter but it was believed that it would become a dungeon at some point and that would be interesting at the very least if that was the room to the ring of set I would hope but when siptah came the original plan before was 4new dungeons but when it came they did only 3 but I hope that spot was the fourth and they completely finish and release the 4th no matter where it is so we can have it
I noticed that place alot and thought constantly what it was because it sure looked like something was planned for that area.
Really hope it becomes said dungeon or at least some sort of more lore in that regard. Also i hope that at least a cameo of Toth Amon happens like one of the ghosts. Seeing him taking the ring or how to avoid every trap they set up there. Would be very interesting to see.
But if i ever get a dev to ask something. I would really like to know who the f the thing in the staff is. Because i get more and more the feeling that it is not a demon but actually SET himself. Cause when u think about it who the hell does know all that sort of magic, items, spells and how to manipulate entire empires against each other despite the fact half the world sank into the sea and all its knowledge with it?
Man this lore is killing me. There isnât enough lore written that i can consume xD
