Bar Patrons/NPCs and Palisades

Bug Description:

I play on PVE, private server, building damage and decay both disabled. However, running into palisades or fences causes damage to these items. While that’s fine for things like purge-enemies, it’s NOT fine for poor AI pathing by bar patrons or random non-hostile wildlife. Wandering deer walk into palisade; it loses health. Bar patron stands at my gate touching palisade, it loses health. I run up to my gate and am slightly too close to the edge of the palisade, it loses health. I’ve lost multiple palisades to this in a mode that building damage shouldn’t even be a consideration, outside of a purge.

This was reported months ago, marked as received and forwarded, and then nothing. Please fix this.

Bug Reproduction:

Walk into a palisade on a “peaceful” server, even if owned by yourself. Or let the wildlife path into it because their pathing doesn’t recognize something is there until they hit it (basically the Roomba of NPCs) which leaves damaged and destroyed pieces on their wake.

Editing to Add: You can’t even get close to your palisades (depending on which you use/how you’ve got them positioned) to repair them without also damaging them. I just went through with a repair hammer to do some fixes and got the “Spikes!!!” notification and did additional damage. -_-


A foal wandered into a palisade and immediately died. Please fix these so that can’t happen.
