Bazaar prices getting even more ridiculous

There is, but the major players are working hard to eliminate it.

I frequently watch older movies and shows. They are generally far superior to almost all the crap being produced today, IMO. Even a lot of the stuff that was made before I was born is much more entertaining.

I very much prefer owning physical copies to paying half a dozen different monthly subs for streaming services and praying that at least one of them has the show I want. Plus there’s less chance of having ads shoved in your face at every critical moment of the show. Even paying a subscription won’t save you from that BS these days.

This is true. Look at the recent oscar nominated films and compare them to the oscar nominated film of the 70s and 80s and the quality difference in Hollywood films in particular is marked.

The worst part is that it’s impossible to get these old movies anywhere.

Does it smell like Pirate Bay in here? :crab:

On topic: How do you guys feel about that Nemedian set?

I just bought that one. Love the peasant headdress on the female characters.

Right? I don’t give a flying pig poo about the Henry the VIII outfit, but that peasant set is something.

Outside of the pricing (I could justify spending a few dollars on this game when I actively played it), my gripe with the bazaar is how the items I own sometimes just don’t load on custom servers, so the game thinks I don’t own it when I do.

Yeah. That shit is annoying. Many times I’ve had to restart my console just to use what I’ve paid for.

I welcome every piece of civilian clothing! More plz! Some desert biome now, fitting Sepermeru and surroundings.

:100: agree with you, well said @CodeMage :+1:
Also thank you for the video link, it actually confirmed me in much of my thoughts and fears about gaming and the possible future of it.

Personally I am finding myself spending more time and money in indie games than titles from bigger studios.
The indie scene is currently polluted by asset flip games made in UE5 and other quick cash grabs, but with some patience and seeking information, it isn’t really that hard to separate them and see who is serious about making their game the best possible.
They usually don’t have the level of fidelity as AA and AAA games have, but once in a while an indie game turns up that has something pretty much no bigger titles has… Originality and passion :star_struck:

I still play Conan Exiles and probably will for some time forward, but the game feels like it is not really going anywhere, mostly it just feels like changing stuff to sort of make us believe it is alive and kicking while they milk it as much as they can before people get tired of it.
We can vote with our wallets and scream FOMO and Whaling as much as we want, but in reality the only thing that matters to them is making the most profit with whatever methods they can think of, and when the times come, they will just turn off the lights.

It’s not just Conan Exiles or Funcom, it is the whole gaming industry that has a problem, they never really meet their customers on their level.
The main focus isn’t about making the best possible game, but rather reach a level where they can keep players in the loop while using tactics to squeeze as much money out of them as they can using microtransactions.

It is nothing new, it has been around for many years, investors buy up gaming companies or offer exclusive deals to devs with a promising game, their interest is maximum profit, they have little interest in consumer satisfaction as long the money keeps rolling in!

Hmm not really sure what to think of it, I mean it is a civilian clothing set, so I guess it won’t really have much in stats, but rather serve as a deco outfit or as an illusion.
Either way it does look cheaper than most armor sets, but then again, I probably wouldn’t use it much if at all, just looks a bit boring, it seems like you do get a lot cloth for the money compared to for example that pictish dancer set they had at some point :joy:

Ugh. So you knew I was waiting for the dungeon set to come back but then you turned around and combo it with all the prisoner stuff to make it twice the price which I said I was shocked you didn’t do that before because they would have fit together nicely. Well played marketing well played. Now I got 2 weeks to decide or wait it out for it to come back around again.

Yeah I saw that combo, it does contain 3 emotes besides the 2 sets, but looking up the pricing for the original sets then it feels as a raise in price(Dungeon Décor 350 cc & Dungeon building set 840 cc) since these 2 sets cost 1190 cc, and with the 3 unknown emotes they are asking for 1673 cc… That to me doesn’t feel like a good combo offer :joy:

I sort of felt the same when I saw the That Aquilonian combo set, there were a few items that I was considering, but holy hell I think the set was a bit more than 4000 cc, I mean freking hell, I could buy a fullblown high end game or an AAA on a decent sale for that amount of money, I can’t remember how many items there were, maybe 15-20 at most - I don’t know if combos actually gets a further discount from the set prices, but it doesn’t feel like it, you either pay for it or wait to see if a better deal comes up, right now it doesn’t seem to be the case which makes me think that they are actually making good money from the Bazaar

I think twenty years of MMO global auction houses have spoiled people somewhat. Sometimes you gotta forget about trying to get the lowest possible price and ask yourself if the current price is one you’re willing to pay.

Yeah that set…the price alone was like there was some sort of mix up and we got Dubai BLB.

Exactly. But it’s not just that. I have a system where I just put in $25 a chapter and start shopping. Obviously the BP is a no brainer since you recoup your costs but then I go and start looking around. The wiki gives hints on the season’s sets if you are willing to do some deductive work and so I plan accordingly to what I want and what is new coming out. I’m actually torn a bit because I think I want the dungeon set…maybe. or is it just envy in a set I don’t have and pretending I will actually use it vs just to back to a more functional arena for foundation basement style?

They are, and being told to increase it in small amounts. They’ll do this till items stop selling and then use 10-20% sales to make them saleable. And repeat this with other items depending on trends of what sells.

You bump prices, heck even place items next to it, that are cheaper etc(or even price increased, but lower). So many ways to push higher prices…and make people think there getting deals.

The Difference of SP and MP isn’t super huge. You can find games that charge little… and some games that just go nutts. Its very eays nitpick certain games and try to compare.

For a time… we had something of a Standard. 9.99 for DLC (new areas and maps) which got bumped to 15… then 20.
Outfits were under 5$… but people started paying for 10$ stuff… Games started trying 15…20…25…45…
And people pay it…

Its about making money, not making us happy. (Devs try and make us happy…the people in charge want there damn pay checks)
Sadly, game Devs and Community Mangers get to read hate pointed at them… but I hope they know its pointed at Morons in Charge making these choices for Money Making, and not making a Better Game.

The decent pricing is why I bought most of them myself. I have yet to really play Isle of Siptih, or touch Neb stuff. (bought on Ps4…but was on PC mostly) Which also reminds me… I own most of DLC on Ps4/5 and most of it on PC. -_-’

in the US, a workable machine will cost $1200 new. get a basic saturday job and buy it within a couple of months… or buy it now and pay for it monthly. there’s no virtue in feigning poor while posting to the internet.
