Bazaar prices going up!

One could argue that the moment FC sunsets development, the game will see a resurgence as modding suddenly becomes stable.

That would not surprise me at all.

Crazy to say considering I’ve not recommended the majority of bundles I’ve reviewed, and I have always said they’re vastly overpriced. Maybe we should stick to the facts next time :joy:

Would for me and a very large swath of console players.

i can vouch for that!.

@eradication are you finally noticing the pricing going up? if compared to 1.5 years ago?

I’ve noticed building sets are far more reasonably priced than placeable bundles.

I could believe it, idk what they were thinking with this bundle, I thought it might have been a typo at first :joy: I still get the impression that pricing is just all over the place outside of building sets though, seems to be very little rhyme or reason to it.

I’d be interested to see a weighted graph of pricing over time, I think that’s probably the best way to track it, though I imagine it would be a big task to map that data

@erjoh I think the building sets are price-locked, at least the single-bundle sets that is. It doesn’t surprise me, I imagine they’re probably the best sellers. There are multi-pack bundles that cost more than the 1200 of course, but it’s crazy to think that Dungeon (3 bundles in one) is still $11/$12 cheaper than Celestial Scholar

Wish I could say “but milk cows don’t volunteer to be milked”, but my uncle ran a dairy so I know that’s not true

None the less, all croms spent were voluntary. No one forced any one to spend croms.
I got croms to get the battle pass, because I like the structure. I didn’t spend my croms on anything but the next battle pass. I still have all my croms PLUS a ton of content.

That was the oops that cost funcom, not the bazaar.
And even though the pricing has went from absurd to down right insulting, that isn’t why i wont shop there.

I can only assume they are trying to recoup money lost on the battle pass.

Coming soon to the Bazaar - New pet rock! Marvel at it’s rocky textures! All for the low, low price of your country’s GDP. Optional colours or googly eyes not included.

Yeah, exactly.
Glad to see others also tracking the costs of the bazaar items.
I still suspect (no evidence) that the Bazaar items are simply outsourced to creatives who then get a percentage of any purchases.

No-one is forced to visit the Bazaar or to buy anything. I have bought some of the content that appealed to me and was not too overpriced. My logic is to treat it like the old DLC content and therefore will spend about the same amount of £8.99 per Chapter.

To my knowledge, all of the content therein is cosmetic and offers nothing but visual advantage.

As it has been reported, and as with many other games, many Content Providers are gifted game bundles so that they can effectively evaluate and therefore advertise (or not) the content. Again, None of the bazaar stuff is core to game so no-one need buy unless they really want to.

ps: Thanks for your reviews @Eradicati0n - always very informative.

I wouldn’t be surprised if at least some work is contracted out. I’ve seen no evidence either, but I would suspect just a standard commission payment. If that’s so, and it means independent artists get work & money from it, then I’m happy to hear that.

I’m glad you find the reviews informative. I wish I could recommend more, but the pricing is 99% of the reasoning behind not doing so, outside of bugs ofc. Already working on a review for Celestial Scholar, and it probably won’t surprise you to know it will not be a recommendation :joy:

Got news for ya.
Hope you are sitting down!

Game is in maintenance mode till they prove otherwise.
They have not had a meaningful update in ages and the QoL changes they made didn’t really improve anyone’s quality of life and we are still waiting for that fix… Looking at you inventory system and ui…

Yes they probably are raising prices because there is no more battlepass though it could be argued they may have been losing money on it in some regards.

If they are indeed raising prices then i do wonder who is seeing the benefit cause i am very skeptical it will be the consumers.
They obv are, it was meant as a rhetorical.

At most they probably just shut down official servers and leave everything else intact.

It’s time we did some house cleaning so to speak in this industry to be honest and stop being push overs for every time someone wants to try to scare you about a game being shutdown and unsubstantiated price hikes when we all know in many cases does not correlate to increased consumer benefit.

I almost caved and got the pyramid stygian tomb set, but remembered what i tell people all the time.
If you want change you got to work for it or you will continue getting the same old same old day in and day out.
In other words, don’t complain if you are unwilling to do your part.

And I commend you for that. But… yet, they still send you free samples. Hm. Is Funcom stupid? Or is there some marketing guy somewhere that says “All exposure is good exposure”? Makes you think.

Eradication gets all the packs gifted from funcom to review them. He says it in his videos. He also usually says “this is great, but I can’t recommend it because the price is obscene.”

Don’t blame him for Funcent’s idiot choices on prices.

What did pique my interest though, was reference to “Corinthian” stuff and all that goes with that. And that these build pieces are the only things, so far, making any reference to the Corinthians (akin to the Aquilonians)? I wonder what the next update will bring?

The Tencent influence…
Can we still hope they use the money to fix all the long time and malicious bugs in Conan Exiles some day, even though this is overdue since several years by now and should be a matter of course?
I am playing on a no-mod, private server with a small community and we can’t do purges, because they keep killing the server off every single time within the first appearing wave of enemies, kicking everyone out and restarting the entire server forcefully。We have been testing everything and reporting, without anyone at Funcom to listen… or at least answering to the complaints。And now they started HEAVILY overpricing the Bazaar items… it feels more and more like a money grab game now, especially since the recent mentioned product, predicting the closure and inability to continue with Conan Exiles in future。

The time to leave Conan Exiles was when Funcom decided to partner up with s**m like Tencent in the first place and the reason why that is, is unfolding now。Out of touch to reality; they are, like you all said one way or another。

I have no clue how to save this anymore and can only hope for the best outcome, even though hope falls very short as long Tencent is present in their well known corruptive ways。Feeding more money into their greed seems to be useless and a great mistake。

When they aren’t even ashamed of their own greed.
They had to make the entire game few years ago.
Now one shop in bazar and it cost about same as game at release

Prices up and still no fukin regional discounts…

Sellers are mentally sick and now it is showed = 35 $ * for

1 table, 1 chair, 1 ceiling light, 1 carpet, 1 statue,1 shelf, 1 courtains,1 map, 1 telescope

Meanwhile

Mod makers -

Full 2gb mods with game fixes, editing game to fit for what players really need, and everything almost for free

Servers

Modded : players there

Official : 1 player for whole week

Results

Server merge because players not playing on, so they delete stuff for those who still plays and merges into another server affter they cause this player leaving issues…

Stop update and add expensive shiets, go to damn dune

P.S this price update is probably because " We have new conan members in team" so to pay them salary, Naw, first do it good then ask money…
But then again probably thats why i dont have much money myself, i always try to do good first , and only then ask money… not like this

That is how DAZ does it. They sell content made by artists for the DAZ figures to be used in Studio. And the artist gets small %; for doing all the work. All DAZ does is create the market, the tool to make the content, and the store to sell at.
