So at some point, it was decided that using a sorcerer workstation of any type would be cancelled if the player is overburdened. This is extremely annoying for those of us rocking Beast of Burden, which allows us to move normally even if we are over encumbered. I have to put two or three boxes down at every crafting station to dump my inventory off just to use a station that should work normally anyway.
Please consider reverting this change. If it was done to fix a bug or exploit, please consider adding an exception for players with beast of burden.
I haven’t the foggiest idea what change you mean. Did you mean the normal updates? I assume you want something overwritten. I don’t know the bounds of the change, so I asked the obvious.
When 3.0 dropped originally, there was no check for encumbrance at sorcery tables. This meant that players who were overburdened could still perform the crafting animations for those tables.
Then somewhere down the line they added an encumbrance check that locks over encumbered players out of the crafting animation for those tables. This is what I think should be reverted.
Indeed it must be reverted sometime, or fixed. Assertions in code must be reverted, too. It’s there so the release version doesn’t have all the debug junk. Some mod makers are drawing me bad on this, but it’s not a competition. (I’m not on discord) I believe there is lots of room for improvement on inventory/encumbrance code. Some want the code cemented, now.
