Bug Description:
Beast of Burden perk not working when mounted.
I’m aware this was brought up before but I am not sure if it has been confirmed as a bug or intended behavior by Funcom. So, I’m logging it here to get an official answer one way or the other.
Bug Reproduction:
- Get the beast of burden perk.
- Get over encumbered.
- Get on a horse.
- See stamina drain when moving.

Fair question - it would be nice to get confirmation one way or the other on this one. (My suspicion is that it may be intended behaviour - but we’ll never know unless it is registered as a bug and we receive an official response 
)

from my understanding they have responded to this in a few dev streams yeaaarss ago.
the summary was something along the lines of: Just because your strong barbarian has immeasurable strength and can carry thousands of pounds with the perk does not mean your horse has it, so it can not carry you along with all the items you hold above 100% weight
i think it makes sense, horses are stronger than humans but if we are saying something like i have 200k stone, im basically holding a mountain in my infinity pockets and my horse would smush like a bug if i jumped on him
i think its also a little balacing for pvp since if you could carry all that AND be on horse back you’d never be caught, but now the trade off from carry thousands of bars is someone can catch you on horseback because you are limited to being on foot.
I’m open to that being the intent.
But I could also see it the other way around. It depends on how magic and physics collide I guess.
Does my magic work by capping the actual weight at some encumbrance maximum?
Or maybe I can use magic to extend my benefit to the horse. It’s magic after all.
Either way, I think an official response posted here would make a good record for the discussion.
