Find the best version of him I’ve ever found. 72% to str. 95% to vit. Perk 10: -3 to str, +5 to survival. Perk 15: -3 to str. +5 to accuracy.
I get that the perk system is meant to add a little flair or personality dare I say to thralls. But that kind of useless random horse manure is how you get a bad review on Steam. Want variety? OK. Want random? OK. Completely useless and stupid? NO. That’s not good design.
Don’t make stupid arguments that survival or accuracy are in any way useful for a melee thrall, especially when he lost 6 strength in the process. It’s useless. It’s dumb.
If you want unique and random then say for example if you’re adding stats to an Archer then make it random whether they get a perk that adds attack speed to their bow shots, range to their shots or damage to their shots. Add a perk that gives them a random chance to fire a special arrow for free, or a % chance to not consume a special arrow upon firing. Don’t give them a random +% to block with a shield or critical with a 2 handed hammer. Don’t do useless crap. There are ways to add flair and variety and uniqueness without making someone regret the time they spent. I don’t see what’s so hard about that concept.
I have come to the conclusion that the higher the hidden modifier, the greater the chance of getting a negative perk.
After leveling a dozen or so Berserkers, all of which ended up with negative perks, I started leveling up Lians of which not one got a negative perk.
Anything with a melee multiplier over 2 will just get bad perks, period.
An overrated thrall. Not bad, but its no Dalansia or Relic Hunter.
He has a 2.08 melee modifier and 2.1 ranged.
This isn’t true. With a decent Survival skill, a thrall can reduce the duration of poisons and bleeds to the point that they fall off before stacking in PVE. Useful for tanking bosses that use those sorts of attacks.
I won’t prove you wrong, actually exactly the opposite I will agree and add as a player that has no clue how these things work, just from gaming observation. My best stats on thralls is less than 2% all of these years I play regardless the origin or the tier. On horses however I took beautiful perks and all of them seemed useful.
Still this 2% is what I believe it was best for my thralls, but
i almost never used a thrall after lvl 20 except pvp , on pve they were no slaves anymore, just civilians of my property.
I would love to see the negative perks less or removed, for all the others I am OK.
