Well even than it doesn’t refer to the actual character after all, but the act or tool used to do create as you said an object or actor. In EA’s case or Maxis I guess would be more correct, CaS is the tool and Sim is the character created. For most games I’ve only heard or seen rarely the use of CC (Character Creation)
