Unnamed City, kill the skeletons, they give the most EXP?

You can get some good XP killing the skeletons around the Black Keep (good for starting to level pets before moving to the Unnamed City).

My favorites are (in increasing difficulty):

  • The eastern part of the jungle: fileld with apes and gorillas. They are slow and do not apply bleed/poison on your pet.
  • Shattered springs: there are rocknoses with a slightly more Hp than a normal rocknose, but give you 14K XP. Beware of the rotbranch!
  • Savannah: rhinos, elephants, Simba and black rhino. Tigers are the most dangerous animals there they can bleed your animal out if you are not careful enough but only give you the same XP as the elephants.
  • Frozen North (western valley): sabretooth tigers (elite ones too, they are the toughest of all of the listed animals) lots of direwolves, mammoths, elk kings and frost giants.

Probably the best, as you can run a circle that takes @ 15-20 minutes to complete, and the amount of apes around the witch queen will level your pet pretty quickly. also , lots of savory meat to feed certain pets to help them heal. On top of that, some gold and lots of hide.

And not forget that they respawn after you finished the circle so you don’t have to to the other side of the map.

I hate the fact that enemies respawn after some distance no matter how slow you set the respawn rate, but leveling up followers, it comes handy.

on OFFICIALS, npc’S (MOST) respawn in @15 minutes, which is why i said takes 15-20 minutes to amke the cirlce i do, purposely timed to restart the circle when the spawns start to reaaper.

What do they drop

Mostly nothing.

The skeleton drop nothing, the blue glowing wights however drop roughly the same stuff that the Nordheimers in New Asagarth drop.

The reason i say jungle over UC, is the Apes are easier to kill and don;t hit as hard. You can dagger stack bleed to speed the process. Plus between plants, bark and the raw steaks, you have healing for your pet all around you. If you have a greater, you may go to UC after they hit around 15 and farm the bosses to level 20, but never really took pets past 10 tbh. And really only concentrate on thralls.

The apes might be easier to kill but there are way less of them than there are skeletons in the UC. Even if they might hit harder, barely any thrall will have problems tanking them since most of the time you fight 3 or 4 at max. But just equipping a shield instantly negates all the damage they could ever do though I dislike cheesing it like that.
If you really want to rush levels the UC is the best place to do so. Lots of EXP (because if you reach the end of the run, the skeletons at the beginning most likely respawned already), relatively easy to reach (directly near the “noob river” or even teleport there later on) and if you collect some fragments (the hidden ones) you might also get some nice recipes or mats in general (for oils and so on).

Actually there are @ 25-30 in the tight circle around witch queen area that i run. And i have a water source near by that guarantees i never run die of thirst or have to refill (UC seems to drain thirst faster???), along with the before mentioned pet heal foods i can harvest during the circle. But to each their own. I have done both, and the Jungle is just so much easier for me, as 2-3 strikes by me kills the apes, and i can avoid those darn archer skeletons shooting me from a distance lol. Plus i can take a truncheon and check for T4 crafters in Pagoda ( I usually have at least a 4 man wheel in the area). Also gain a lot of hide for tar. Very efficient for short on time players.
