Bought thrall but can't interact with it

I bought a named thrall at another player’s tavern. I brought the thrall back to my base but the game lost internet connection. When I lgged back in the thrall is listed as belonging to me but it is now in the tavern sharing physical space with another NPC. I can’t interact with it to tell it to follow me, or see its inventory - nothing. It is a named thrall so I’d really like to get it baack under my control. What can I do?

If the thrall is in your followers list you might have to rescue it home. Just make sure you’re at home when you do.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Butt how do you ‘rescue it home’? I am not familiar with that. Sorry to sound dumb…are you suggesting to try and thrall it again? I hit it but nothing happens.

Go to your Followers tab. Right click on the thrall in question. Select Rescue.

Nah, in your followers list under the specific thralls name there should be options like break bond or rescue.

If they are in your tavern, remove the Barkeeper and NPCs should walk away and leave your Thrall alone.

If nothing of these works try again tomorrow. It seems that the server you play needs restart.
So if you play on official server tomorrow you will be able to interact with your thrall.
If you play on private, communicate with the admin to restart the server.

Not at all, you sound worried and this game has plenty reasons to make you feel insecure.

Thanks everyone. I was unaware of the rescue option. That worked. The thrall lost everything I had equipped it with which wasn’t much at all since the server lost connectivity to the internet and kicked me. So, I was able to retrieve the thrall! Many thanks to everyone who shared with me the fix!

Just know that the “Rescue” choice is your last ditch option as you do lose their inventory and armor. After a lot of rounds of trial and error, Funcom truly did arrive at a pretty solid system with their thrall followers.

If you lose track of them (died, logout, DC, etc.), they will always “return home” to where you last stationed them to “GUARD.”

Failing that - you can always click to toggle the eyeball icon on the Followers tab to see where they are hiding.
