Bow damage is too high

Why is this thread still alive?.. Both bows and arrows and archery has been changed since the original topic was created… if it’s still an issue, then by all means… have this locked and start a new one so people don’t read the age-old stuff from the beginning and assume things :man_shrugging:

In any case… somewhere up there I and many others already suggested easy solutions that don’t require this stupid vendetta against bows, or ■■■■■■■■ (:screwdriver: such a bad word…) over every PvE player out there just because you have a handful of elite people capable of actually shooting the thing…

Cuz no… the videos posted above do NOT represent the “average” not even in PvP… you won’t get every single player aiming like that and even the ones in the video are cut together from various different fights when people had some lucky streaks…
So what?.. I did the same in overwatch back in the day with a hanzo :stuck_out_tongue: team-killed the enemy over and over again multiple times… it’s how archers are supposed to work :smiley:


Anyway… the solution is simple… add a multiplier specifically for bows that only affects PvP damage :man_shrugging: problem solved… they can set that to 50% or something and tone down the effect of it on PvP while not messing with bows in PvE, which were completely useless prior to AoS and have been going back downhill slowly since with all the arrow and distance nerfs etc.

If they want to be fancier, they can do another thing I suggested somewhere above… which is to add armor modkits that specifically protect against ranged damage…
That way all players could benefit from that and PvP players could sacrifice some other armor modkit for protection against bows… might even be interesting…
