All of the above requires development time beyond of simple removal or tinkering of existing mechanics via value change. Also can’t be monetized.
Highly likely Funcom won’t even bother with it just like they didn’t bother to fix delving armors and many other things.
that is actually not true… the first option is a 5 minute job ![]()
@Xevyr is going to be the first modder to use Livesplit with the devkit. ![]()
I might watch too much speedrunning.
And yet we need to wait for weeks or months to see changes and hotfixes that take a few minutes.
Funcom’s “same date deployment” across the platforms for patches rule was a mistake.
That has nothing to do with any of this thou ![]()
Like what’s your point here? You implied that what I suggested would require some extensive development… I told you it’s simply not the case, in fact it’s way easier than some of the required hotfixes you mention, however it’s still not related to them and it’s a separate problem.
Why are you so mad, bro?
Chill out.
There’s a very good reason for this.
There is several versions of the game. There is the one we play. There’s the one we test on public beta. Sometimes there is a closed beta. And then there is what are called internal builds.
There is several internal builds. When a new change or feature is made, it goes to the back of the line. Even though it may take minutes to implement, it takes weeks or months to go through the iterations before its given to the public.
Sometimes a hotfix can be done on a older, close to being public iteration. These are critical game fixes that get this priority. Stuff such as a bow damage modifier, even if coded tonight, will go to the back of the line. The game has been out for 6 years without such a feature, if it was even approved, it can wait a while before going live.
The reason why modders can implement things quickly is because they usually only have two versions of their mod. The one on the workshop and the one they are working on. They also have the benefit of being the sole arbiter of what goes into the mod. So if a modder decides they want to add a feature that takes 5 minutes to code, then 5 minutes and a cook later, its on the workshop.
wipe your tears and pick up a shield . change your build .
Shields are bugged. You can shoot the legs or head and also get very close and spawn the arrow behind the shield.
Maybe do some research before posting useless stuff.
So anyways.
Best thing you can do in this game right now is build your FOBs by Jhil caves and Emissary of Atlach-Nacha. Make sure everyone in your squad uses bow and farms those Hollowbone arrows, Mandibles of Atlach-Nacha, and Khari steel.
…
Then, just to troll a bit, you can even go 20 str 20 agi 20 Grit with steel thewed.
Forget vitality. And use Abyssal armor with Str corrupted to 20.
You just might be able to two shot people and you can win the bow wars because steel thewed makes you a three shot. Feast of Yog is basically acting like Glutton when you’re at 200 HP.
Here is my opinion, leave Bow’s as they are.
I’m a long time player, started in Jan 2017 in EA. I did stop playing for a while due to personal reasons.
But I’ve been around enough and for long enough to remember the injustice that was none to Bows in the prelaunch combat update. I also remember how hard it was to and how long it took to get bows back to a point where they were a worth while weapon.
So yeah, remove target lock from bows, a real archer doesn’t use it anyway.
But maybe ask for a buff to other weapons before you ruin the preferred weapon of another player.
And Yes I am a PVPer. But I don’t use a bow in melee like in the video. I use it like the ranged weapon that it is.
I agree that the damage of bows is truly crazy, they should be a weapon to be used only at long range, perhaps simply blocking the ability to roll when in use would solve most of the problems, today it is meta and any experienced PVP player knows it. Hence, the largest private PVP servers prohibit having more than one archer in the clan, using the best arrows for PVP… and that’s not to mention the cheaters who give you without aiming.
Everything that isn’t a freaking pike gets higher damage and “pvp is dead”!!!
Sure. We know. Go play other games then, ffs.
Of course! Let’s calibrate the game with hackers in mind. Because that will surely be wise. ![]()
It is possible to delete players within 3 seconds with a bow at any range.
This was never possible with a pike.
You. Enough said. You @SirDaveWolf , and if the target is unaware or moves like shit.
Most people are lucky to land a shot if pressured. You know this to be true.
Pikes aren’t fast killers. They are just easy.
And it’s not just bows. Complains include bows but also hamners, heavy axes, katanas, the SoC, everything that isn’t a pike or can defy it. It’s always the same siren song. The objective: return to the old meta.
Oh now this isn’t 100% true. You can’t reliably gauge the archer’s distance to avoid being hit when you have your FOV on ‘pro-mode’.

Most mediocre Archers can roll in between their opponent hits and heavy charge roll spam, even when cornered.
I gotta say I like your troll posting tho
Mediocre archers shoot mediocre players.
It’s not the stick. It’s who’s holding it.
