Are the pieces under the altar wedges? They’re known for being unreliable when putting big placeables on top. Could you try to substitute those pieces with normal foundations?
Well yes I could try that, but I had a specific build in mind for my official server (I test build EVERYTHING on SP first). I had a map perfectly placed underneath, and to conserve space, I wanted to put the altar just on top but was unable to. Yog altar is extremely easy to place but I needed the jhebbal there.
Just for more testing, I even tried placing the jhebbal altar on the ground without foundations and it was extremely hard, even though the ground was quiet flat in that area in swamp. So it appears to be a problem with the altar itself I think, just like how the map room used to be difficult to place.
