Bring back the stamina reduction on Rolling Thrust agility

How is was before the nerf:

After dodging, your next damaging attack has 25% increased penetration and your next swing costs no stamina.

How it is nowdays:

After dodging, your next damaging attack has 25% increased penetration.

What should have never happened:

The stamina reduction on the next attack shouldn’t have been completely removed… they should have nerfed it a little if anything at all.

What should have happened:

If the nerf was so much needed the reduction should have been changed to like costing half the stamina for example.

Comparison:

When you look at the other perk they are far more meaningful:

  • STR While below 25% health, you cannot be staggered or knocked down, your damage is increased by an additional 10%, and your armor is increased by an additional 50.
  • STR Your heavy attacks stagger for 25% longer and no longer rebound off shields.
  • AGI Jump while in the air to do a second jump.
  • VIT When your health drops below 50%, you remove all negative effects and gain 95% damage mitigation for a short time.
  • VIT When you take damage, you regenerate the last instance of damage taken over 15 seconds.
  • AUT Your active followers have increased attributes.
  • AUT Maximum followers increased by 1, however your statistics no longer influence your follower’s damage output.
  • GRI You can block unblockable attacks at a higher stamina cost and you react twice as quickly after successfully blocking.
  • GRI You cannot take more than 33% of your maximum health in damage per hit.
  • EXP When over-encumbered, you can dodge and move at full speed.
  • EXP Structures you build are 25% more stable.

I believe the Grit one has also been nerfed, I think that one was 25% instead of 33%.

Man all these stupid combat nerfs during the Age of War really ruined the fun for me… stamina is on most weapons still unusable even with maxed out grit and gear with stamina.

I one-shot everything, but I have not enough stamina or defense compared to what it was before which makes the combat sluggish… stamina is horrific with the camps full of enemies ganking you all at once stagger poking you to death…

The reason in my opinion?

Agility can make you super warrior without using strength at all . Strength cannot make you super warrior without using agility.

But the total removal is a bit rough, especially when stamina use in most 2 handed weapons is so high you can’t actually use them.

Before Age of War you could use any weapons without even spending points or armour into stamina.

Now days you can’t even complete a full combo because after the 3rd blow you’re out of stamina even when you spend points in stamina.

The combat is no longer fun, I’m forced to use the same weapons as anyone else because I don’t want to be stuck in “no stamina“ animations… some animations when you run out of stamina takes over 3 seconds to complete! It is insane.

Also this fatality is a pain in the ass, you’re stuck in the animation which doesn’t work half the time while you are invincible meanwhile other enemies gather around you while you’re stuck and stagger you to death after.

It’s simply an easy way to think that they balanced something, but they didn’t. Because strength is again bellow.

It all started with the sword of Crom. Unfortunately people abused this mechanism and tho PvP players were laughing with me that 2h is slow, then the whole PvP community end up using it to one shot others. And here’s the funny part… grit already gives you one shot protection, but no , from the one hand to accuse devs that they created a 20str, 20vit ,20 agi system on PvP yet from the other to cry for one shots because they refuse to change this build .

Anyways, i am also against one shots, so I won’t stand more to this point, nothing should apply one shots on PvP, literally nothing.

Yet instead of creating an easier antioneshot mechanism, they didn’t the easiest. They nerfed sword of Crom to the ground, nerfed vitality and agility. They also nerfed Musashi just to make sure that no matter the gear nothing will allow one shot. A good antioneshot mechanism would be on your first 5 vitality points to gain max half hp from any hit among regeneration. This way even new players could easily protect them self from elder players in the server. It would be simply fair to all . But no . Let’s ruin fun from players, it’s easier…

Ps . They never learned what abyssal armor was doing with sword of Crom hopefully, it was truly game breaking but fun also. A boss spider was dropping in seconds with less than six hits  . I tried to explain to a fellow exile in here but we end up fighting so i kept the secret. Everything happens for a reason they say and it’s true.

Sorry I’m a little lost in your comment

You mean they nerfed it the lazy way? Becasue that is kind of what happened feels like.

But mainly my complaint is around combat no longer being fun, most PvP encounters are daggers with a snake.

You can barely hit the snake due to its terrible hitbox, but does block you from attacking the other player, while the other player freely spams his daggers on you.

One shotting is bad imo, I still one shot almost everything in PvE. But the gritt perk should prevent it from happening.

I dunno man… almost all weapons are unusuable, even with points spend in Stamina.

Combat pre AoW was fun, now its frustratingly annoying, getting stagger spammed to death, run out of stamina by letting out a fart (joke but you get what I mean).

For me Conan Exiles was always about combat, challenge on adventure. Secondary its building for me… but now its primary building since the combat is so bad.

These players must be new i guess, or PvP found a new meta . The PvP community is extremely capable to find game breaking sh.it and use it, nothing new here  .

However, no “cheat” is always absolutely secure , i am sure there’s a way to humiliate this cheat also.

Yup , the hitbox is unorthodox on too many fights, very good feedback brother :sign_of_the_horns:.

A friend of mine says that our warriors have become asthmatic  .

:rofl::rofl::rofl: , totally!

We agree from the very beginning of your topic, worry not . I ain’t here to disagree with you, i jumped in just to inform you what happened in your absence and welcome you back brother, that’s all .

On the pve aspect combat is okeish. Not bad .

On the PvP aspect combat is lacking a lot in performance issues of my console servers. I don’t know about pc , but on playstation servers lag a ton .

I kinda remember something,

You almost start to wonder if that’s lore accurate right? xD

As long you don’t get stuck in fatality and they gather around you like flies waiting to poke you down :’) it happened many times to me in the last 2 weeks I started playing again, if it happens I just cross my arms, since there’s nothing I can do sadly :frowning:

PC is also bad, died once in a PVP fight because I couldn’t hit the other player who was teleporting around, it was a fight of stamina in the end, he missed a lot too, but daggers cosst less stamina.

The other times I died using the elevator, this only happens when it lags so badly and its ALWAYS around the same time where people can start purges and PVP.

I think the main culprit is the purge system, its been like that since the purge was introduced in Age of War.

I wonder what’s the point of the forums currently, devs, mods and community seems to be mostly gone and Conan is on life support, not lifeservice.

  • Purge is one of the causes of massive server lag
  • You can still crash the server very easily due to an exploit
  • Cheaters run rampant killing thralls resetting progression and more (on PvE-C)
  • Purge griefing destroying bases of other players

The only thing I need to give Funcom credit for is not pulling the plugs of their games, if it was Ubisoft we would already not be able to play the game anymore.

When fatality introduced it was @Wak4863 that tried to warn them and change this random system to something more optional. We all kinda agreed to this but for some reason devs stood to their decision and in the next update fatality only grow worst . Wak left us after Dune release to back up his friend Firespark also, but mostly because the morality of this company changed a lot. I do understand that devs should follow their vision, but in times taking feedback from their gamers is only good for everyone.

We don’t call the update living settlements but dying settlements since you loose crafters all the time in to the 0.0.0 void .

I really wish they understand what they have in their hands unable to control. I played many survival games, my number 2 is 7d2d. I aslo loved the long dark the last months.

But none !

None is like this one…

I recreated a character and started enjoying the freedom of this game , it’s beauty , yet after 20 minutes the first bugs started to appear again and all this beautiful feeling collapsed at once…

If only…

Pity !

Its a shame, with development vision you can start ideas and it might get gamers attention.

But the most important part is asking themselves, is this wat gamers want.

Developers should make games for gamers and listen to eedback, if not… it will not be economical viable.

We’ve seen so many games lately no one asked for… all that money went to waste.

I haven’t got a clue why Funcom ignores their players… we’re the ones paying them.
