Completely remove the benefit for stamina is absurd.
When I use CTRL with a 2handed sword my 230 stamina is completely drained and I’m not even using the Sword of Crom.
Either stamina needs to be changed AGAIN or the rolling thrust perk needs to be buffed, for example the next attack having 50% reduced stamina cost.
I’m sick and tired of nerfs (the way Funcom handles nerfs is absurd).
I think players power was a lot better before Age of War.
Now we get nerf after nerf… Age of Sorcery promised more power to the player… but the power is back at the irresponsive thralls no longer the player. The only time I see someone using a corrupted build its with thralls. All other builds are pretty much obsolete or make you weaker.
We are no longer the star of the show. One shotting almost all enemies by barely having damage is not feeling powerful. Power comes with a risk, how its been told during the Age of Sorcery.
The balancing is so out of whack… its either too much damage or too much stamina use… nothing is really a challenge… but I no longer feel strong in Conan, I feel like a sluggish oneshotting brainfart who runs out of stamina by even the tinyest of farts…
I know the stamina recovers quickly… another change I didn’t like. But now the combat is a constant interruption of running out of stamina. You can’t even finish a full combo with some weapons if you don’t have grit!
I gave the game another shot… but I quit again, its never been in such a poor state. There also is almost 0 interaction and trade amoungst players since you can not share “your” things with others anymore… not even the Twitch drops!!! Are we the owner? NO.
I honestly get a little bit fed up with changes for PVP, which in itself is a complete Cheater sh** show. Nobody seems to like PVP, yet most fundamental changes seem to be done for PVP.
In any case, Rolling Thrust ain’t worth it anymore…I will move on and respecc.
I hate them. Whatever it is, they always need to make some changes. Complaining to us how they dont have enough time to finish age in 3 chapters.
They cant finish it, because they have no ideas what to do and they decide to go and do changes to inventory, combat and things that were not broken.
They dont read or just ignore what players says about their updates.
So no wonder there is many upset players.

I feel your frustrations @prologue1337. It feels like so many cool and unique mechanics have been nerfed into utter uselessness over time.
I feel a strong melancholy when I think about the Sword of Crom now. At this point it is just another generic greatsword with nothing to set it apart. Oh wait it has its ‘quirk’, which is lower durability than an iron greatsword. Yay. Now like so many other unique and interesting Legendaries, for example the Lifeblood Spear and the Act of Violence, and so many in game features, such as repair kits and pets, they have devolved into a state of utter irrelevance.
Thirty ‘likes’ for calls not to change it but hey, they did it anyway. So much for listening to feedback. And it wasn’t enough to merely apply the change to new Swords of Crom gathered and let the rest fade out of circulation naturally over time. Noooo, we had to nerf the ones with weapon kits on them too so that Singleplayers and people on Private Servers couldn’t continue having fun with the legacy versions either. And that really irks me. Yes I am being pretty, darn negative here, at a time when I am trying to go back to my usual positive self. But in this case frankly I don’t care and I make no apology. Many of these nerfs stink to high heaven, and so does what they did to the Sword of Crom. It deserved better.

I know as a loyal follower of Crom it’s frustrating for you, what happened to that sword. But the changes to the combat system over all is much worse in my opinion.
And how many people voted for a reverting reflects that!
The SoC is “only” one weapon.
I’ll call it balanced when there is true crossplay to have.
All those legendaries that got nerfed, what if we could pay for them? Like p2w, but with durability (fully restored). Seems like a better deal than the instances players have known. I would like to see this game with all those differences in legendaires. I’m not interested in the arena background. I’m more into RTS/open-world.
Yeah every sensible person would love the crossplay and prefer it
But having this crossplay would always have unbalance by nature, something hard to solve or at least be within some balancing limit, sadly with Funcom everything nerfed isn’t coming back. Just because they nerf it way too hard.
I’m all for balance and I was purely just making jokes, but nerfing something to the ground is not the way I like to see balancing done, at the same time its nerfing fun to patch another hole lol.
Yeah. Rolling thrust was one way to make fully corrupted characters at least somewhat active in combat. But it was already a tough call between that and double-jump.
Now, there’s no question. Double-jump is so, so good that a mere minor bonus to AP won’t compete in the same category at all.
Double jump is so broken in raids. When you only focus on bombing the enemy base in an online raid where they are actively defending, with double jump you can dodge the defenders constantly, to places where they can not get quickly or without putting away their weapons for climbing/stemming up. Since bombs do not have an equip animation you can spam them, even during double jumps.
If done right, defenders will NEVER be able to kill the bomber.
Funcom has buried this once great game under a mountain of “time to address” issues that they will never fix. RIP Conan, at least we had some fun times before stupendous incompetence destroyed it.
Yeah, I definitely feel a lot less powerful a warrior after the latest changes to stamina. There was a glorious time during the Age of Sorcery where I felt might and dangerous. Now I simply can’t fight worth a crap.
Didn’t see any of these cases made when the several dozen threads over the last year were popping up against rolling thrust.
I’m going to recommend a little more activity in the future when your favorite things in game are being discussed. If you’re not participating in the discussion, you’re siding with the consensus. I’m not saying that it would have made any difference, but the mainstream belief was that Rolling Thrust shouldn’t have had a cost reduction to attacks. So seeking that change’s reversal is going to be a tad bit on the futile side.
Addressing rolling thrust now would entail convincing Funcom enough to not only want to devote resources to revert a change (or adjust it) but also enough to believe that upsetting a larger section of the population (then displayed here) is also worth it.
Well yeah, I’ve always been very optimistic about Conan Exiles and Funcom… but I kinda start to feel the same way about this.
The issue for me is not so much the bugs, but the changes no one asked for and usually only liked by very few players.
A lot of players started to play on modded servers, so changes can be addressed. But having these dead official server explains a lot about the vanilla state of Conan Exiles.

Removing the 100% stamina usage reduction is already overkill but on top lowering the bonus armor penetration as well? That perk got nuked into orbit by Funcom balancing.
