Revert to pre-Rolling Thrust nerf Combat?

PVP has been very lacking these days, a lot of players left after the Rolling Thrust nerf.

To be fair, I agree that it needed to be nerfed, but I feel funcom went too far with it. While taking away the no stamina cost strike after a roll perk was understandable, completely destroying stamina in combat was overkill.

Combat flow is waaay off, almost to a standstill at times (unless you have maxed stam and just lock-on dagger spam). 2v1s you can barely stand a chance now.

Can we find that happy medium in balancing combat again please, Funcom? Stamina regen and cost needs another look. I recommend how it was before the Rolling thrust nerf, but still keeping the Rolling Thrust nerf (I loved that perk, but I understand why some wanted it out).

Thank you.

Agree @TreyRex92. While I am not sure where the precise percentage for that happy medium lies, I agree that removing the no stamina cost boon entirely was overkill. Perhaps let me open the bidding with only 50% stamina drain on the next hit after a dodge roll. Perks for level 20 attributes should be powerful and meaningful, not inconsequential.

It was not just the Rolling Thrust perk which was decimated by that headlong series of nerfs. The once proud Sword of Crom was transformed into weak generic rubbish, with the durability of brittle petrified wood. Because after all, when we hear the word ‘Crom’ we all automatically think ‘something that breaks easily’ dont we. [sarcasm]

Yes, unfortunately Funcom has a long history of over-correction with this game. I remember when finding a rare Sword of Crom for your Thrall was cause for much rejoicing. When it was being brought up as an issue, I supported lessening Thrall damage to players across the board (the days of Thrall one-shots were ridiculous), not nerfing the weapon itself… Another over/wrong correction.

Now, we have stamina cost that is way to high to where now if you are outnumbered, you just simply dont have enough to effectively evade/attack… Not to mention the abysmal regen we have now… I feel like they focused on the wrong “solutions” for concerns brought up by players. Balance is always key. Even between PVE and PVP players, you cant make a PVE correction for PVP players.
