Yeah, this doesn’t seem like a bug so much as just…how shallow streams look.

Shallow waters in the desert, especially slow flowing ones should look opaque and dirty brown.

The deeper water is, the bluer it gets. That’s why puddles and glasses of water aren’t neon blue. A deep river versus a shallow stream puddle is going to look different
