Origination: I was playing the game and my controller ran of battery-life. I switched controllers and plugged the new controller in (USB). My character immediately started glitching on screen. It then kept saying that “no controller was activated for this account” (or something similar to that). I then turned of the game and reset the Xbox.
Problem: After I rebooted the game the following happened:
All of my Settings using Admin privileges had to be reset (all my previous settings were deleted) after the incident.
However, I noticed that I could no longer melee thralls to knock them unconscious as the gray bar is no longer above the health bar and any attempt to knock a thrall unconscious just kills the thrall.
Animal NPC now spawn inside of bases that I had established.
Several of the settings under the “Settings” tab such as;
“Show Land Owner Notifications” under “Gameplay” tab and;
“Aim Mode Right Stick Sensitivity” under “Controls” tab
Require me to reset them every time I start the game.
Please look into these issues and see if you can reset the melee bar for the thralls on my account.
Greatly appreciated and excellent game, 2-thumbs-up!
Answer 1: I was using a standard Xbox wireless controller, I switched to a Wolverine Ultimate wired.
Answer 2: I tried twice to relaunch the game using the Xbox wireless controller, all issues still persist.
Answer 3: I have a check mark in the Disable Thrall Decay field.
Also Hugo, you may already be working on this issue, but I’ll bring it up just in case. the World bosses regenerate their health at an unbelievable rate. it’s impossible to kill them without using the cheat Admin function.
Cheers
Hi @GameCanine73, could you please try enabling thrall decay and restart the session to see if the issue is resolved?
If not, could you try to reset all settings to default?
Regarding world boss regen, this should only happen if they reset their aggro due to having no path to their target or being to far from their origin point, is this the case?
Well Hugo, resetting the settings to default worked, however there was a tall price to pay afterwards as half of my bases (pretty detailed modeling, 100+ hours if I were to guess) and thralls instantly decayed.
Hugo, the reset of sever default settings only resolved the melee bar issue. However, it led to a host of other issues.
NPC’s (both animals and humans) disappeared around areas that were not decayed by the reset. Areas where I had just small encampments with a wheel of pain now irradicate all enemies within a large radius of the (tent, bed, bonfire, etc.). As an example: a base encampment near the cave “Sinner’s Refuge”, just because of it’s proximity to the cave (a fairly good distance) has now caused the cave to be completely empty of NPC’s. Other issues are anytime I drop a “new” wheel of pain or a small camp outside the allowable distance of an enemy camp, all of the enemies disappear in the camp and the entire camp disappears. The radius for this decay is extremely large, is there a simpler way like resetting a proximity variable on your side?
The issue with enemy health regeneration is resolved.
