Bugs feedback after newest update (XBOX)

First of all, amazing job Funcom! Conan is the only early access game I’ve seen evolve this much. I’ll recommend it to anyone I can! With that being said, there’s a couple of bugs and other issues I’ve encountered during my recent playthrough.

ARROWS OFTEN DON’T DO ANY DAMAGE.
Tested on a private server with 2 other people. For some reason, only few out of 30 arrows shot (tested multiple times in stacks of 30) were doing any damage at all (very often can’t even see the arrow get shot outbof thr bow). Tested on NPC’s. Melee combat was working fine. Sometimes it works a bit better.

CAMERA ISSUE WHEN LOCKING ON A TARGET
When the target gets’s close to you and you lock on it, it’s sometimes impossible to see what the hell is going on, because the camera automatically goes in the overhead view and focuses on the ground instead. It’s even worse when using a bow.

MANY OBJECTS APPEAR AT 1 METER DISTANCE FROM THE PLAYER, NO LOD AT ALL
Huge things like pillars on the map room item, massive scrolls in the world map room and smaller things like buckets, mugs, candles, plates and tons and tons of other objects LITERALLY appear 1-meter in front of you. I mean, like REALLY you almost need to touch it for it to suddenly appear and I’m not even exaggerating. Playing on XBOX ONE X doesn’t really help much as either. Why don’t you guys add some LOD? You don’t need to model it out, UE4 has an amazing autoload generation, you just need to turn it on. I have never even seen any other game with pop-ins of some of the primary objects in a 1-meter distance. Not even in ps1 times. This really breaks the immersion.

FIRST HEAVY HIT WITH 2 HANDED HAMMER DOESN"T DO DAMAGE
When using a 2 handed hammer, It looks like if I start a combo with a heavy attack, the weapon doesn’t really hit the enemy. It works all fine with a sword, but I’ve tried multiple times on a non-moving target and It just didn’t work.

VOICES TAB WHEN CREATING A CHARACTER HAS INVISIBLE OPTIONS
You need to scroll through invisible voice options to go to the next tab.

NO EDIT NAME BUTTON PROMPT ON XBOX ONE X WHEN CREATING A CHARACTER
Works on regular Xbox.

SOMETIMES GAME LOADS WITHOUT CLOTH AND HAIR PHYSICS ON XBOX ONE X
The only solution is to reset the game. Works fine on the regular Xbox

TIME OF DAY DOESN"T MATCH ACROSS CLIENTS
ITested only on a private server (no admins, all settings on default). When it was daytime on my xbox (regular xbox), it was pitch black night on my wives xbox (xbox one x). She had to run around with a torch to see anything, while I was enjoying the sunlight.

PURGE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY WITH COWARD-STYLE BASES
Whem base is built coward style (on top of some pillar or mountain/bridge or cave) the purge is super easy (only skeletons) and most spawn in world geometry so they don’t do anything. Even more reason not to build real RP bases.

BOW SENSITIVITY WHEN AIMING IS OFF
When switching to manual aiming with the bow, the sensitivity is same as camera rotation. It’s almost impossible to hit anything. Aim sensitivity should be much smaller.

THIRD AND FITH HEAVY UNARMED ATTACK DOESN’T HIT THE TARGET

Another issue. I’ve tested multiple times amd 3rd and 5th attacks in the heavy combo chain as unarmed don’t land at all.

CLOTH AND HAIR PHYSICS GET BROKEN WHEN EQUIPPING ZAMORIAN THIEF SET
Sometimes happens, sometimes not. Need to reset to fix it.

BUTTCHEEKS BEND THE DAGGER ATTACHED TO THE ZAMORIAN THIEF ARMOR
The dagger at the back just hillariously bends when walking or running

FIREORB THRALL DOESN’T THROW ORBS
It just runs up to you, performs throw animation but orbs are not getting thrown.

THRALLS DON’T ATTACK WHEN PLAYER GOES AWAY AND COMES BACK
My mate placed some archer thralls on the wall so we can check if putting them there is still completly useless. When approached they attack. When you walk away from their attack distance and come back at them again they don’t attack and you can easily shoot them all down. Thralls on walls are pretty much defensless. Why not make it so if you damage them with a projectile they’ll get highly increased view distance for the next 30 seconds or so (resets on every hit) they can actually fight back and defend the base?

PLAYERS ON XBOX ONE X CAN BE SEEN MUCH MUCH FURTHER OFF AND CAN SHOOT PLAYERS THAT USE REGULAT XBOX WITHOUT BEING SEEN
I got 2 xbox ones in the same room. Xbox one X and standard xbox. On xbox one x I could shoot player on other xbox and he couldn’t see me at all because the player load distance is much muuuuuuuch shorter.

CAN’T SAVE TEXT ON WALL SIGN
Impossible to focus on the same button.

WEAPON AND SHIELD RACKS DON’T DISPLAY ADDED ITEMS
Nothing happens after adding the items to the rack.

Looks like last poster nailed most of what I was going to say:wink:. I was just wondering about thrall weapons. They don’t seem to want to stay equiped. Do they keep them sheathed until aggro’d now? I haven’t tested that possibility yet. Awesome job overall though. Love most of the new changes.

Yep, it looks like thralls are sheathing weapons when they aren’t in combat or can’t fight back. Kinda sucks they don’t react when getting shot from a long distance. They just suck up the arroes until they die.

WHEN SITTING ON BENCHES, EVERYONE SIT IN THE SAME SPOT
Another bug. Minor thing though. When trying to sit on a bench, everyone will sit in the same spot, making characters overlap.

“COWARD-STYLE”? Most good castles/fortresses were built in areas that are easily defended from attack. While I have not been building any large bases, if I did building one that is easily defended is a smart way to go.

Now so I stay within topic.

ITEMS NOT EASILY PLACED - BEDROLLS, CAMPFIRES, ETC

PLAYER CORPSES ARE NOT WHERE THE TOMBSTONE IS OR CANNOT BE INTERACTED WITH TO RETRIEVE ITEMS

CHESTS/BOXES RANDOMLY DISAPPEAR (NOT DESTROYED OR DECAYED)

CAN’T HEAR HORN SOUNDS ON XBOX ONE AS SOON AS THE HORN USER IS OUT OF DRAW DISTANCE, ON XBOX ONE X HEARING DISTANCE IS FEW TIMES BIGGER
I understand xbox one x has a graphics advantage…but sound as well? That’s a bit odd.

LADDERS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLACE AND UNUSABLE
I’ve struggled for a couple of hours to be able to place a ladder. I finally got lucky somehow but even when placed I couldn’t use it**

MISSING WETNESS EFFECT
Maybe it’s not yet included in xbox one version but thought I’d mention it. Can’t see any wet surface effects during the storm etc.

GIGANTIC UI
The UI , buttons , text and name tags are gigantic. With 2 mates standing next to me the entire screen real estate is covered with text.
