I’ve read some mixed up information online so hoping for a more definitive answer. Does a T4 smelter reduce cost? For example stone to brick ?

No. Fuel lasts longer and they process materials faster. But its still the same material cost.

No, they don’t decrease costs. Just speed and fuel burning time.

As a side note, if you do find something definitely wrong (or have something new) join and submit an edit. The wiki is kept working by volunteer editors.

The Age of Calamitous mod’s smelters reduce the costs. 3 iron bars per steel bar for example. But vanilla thralls do not.
