T3 furnace material cost change?

with the material cost reduction focused furnace, im not seeing any change in the base material cost.

Brick is still 10 stone = 1 Brick
Iron is 2 = 1 bar
Steel is 5 iron bars/ 1 steelfire = 1 Steel bar

isnt this what it always has been? i dont understand the benefit to this furnace when material cost is the same, and the fuel burns faster?

The furnace doesn’t have a reduced cost function, the text might be misleading. The Heat-Efficient Furnace increases speed by 200% but fuel burns twice as fast as well and the Fuel-Efficient Furnace burns at normal speed but the fuel lasts much longer.
