Hmn… we probably won’t agree. Siptah follows a different lighting mood than Exiles Lands, a more realistic one, so it looks very good in my opinion. I always like the fire effects in particular, when you look into the fire the rest becomes a little darker, just like in real life. Especially in the storm there are very nice light effects. Unfortunately, your graphics settings are very low, so of course some of the atmosphere is lost. But maybe if people didn’t think of Siptah as an EL copy and looked for the mistakes in that respect. Siptah is a really beautiful map that looks much more authentic and realistic than Exiles Land. I really enjoy it for that reason alone.
I read your review and now I understand you better overall. I still agree with a lot of what you say, especially about the animals. And because you mentioned it, I respect your opinion too… even if I would like to criticize Funcom’s mentality more, as soon as I read too much criticism from others I get into a kind of defense mode for my favorite game. But in the end we all have one thing in common, we love or like the game, that’s the only reason to play it in the first place. Have a good time Ragnaguard
To be honest, that is not a bad idea. Every age we could have a new area to exolore in the NE (1 grid worth). Travel there from different areas every age. A pand tonthe west of seperamu, take the camel caravn TP to the new land. Multiple dungeons, uniquenresources, no build zones. The next age would have you take a pirate ship to a chain of islands (which would replace the western one). This would add variety every 9-12 months.
