Can you get ban for building on broken bridges in PVP

A guy on official told me if I build on the broken bridge I’ll get ban from Conan Exiles. I was just going to build a small castle nothing really big with a elevator to get up and down, also with a small fence around the base with a animal pen and stable in the fenced in yard area. But I was told I’ll get banned because of something about land claim? Please help.

First of all, welcome to the forums!

Secondly, ask yourself these following questions… have you built in such a way as to block access to and/or from any point of interest (world bosses, ghosts, etc.)? Have you blocked access to any gathering spawns (iron / coal nodes, brimstone etc.)? Have you built in such a way as to claim a large amount of land (far beyond what is necessary for your base to operate, i.e. a wall that is nowhere near your actual base)? Have you built in such a way as to cause server side lag (excessive decorations, thralls / pets, etc.)? If the answer is yes to any, if not all, of these questions, then yes you can get a ban if someone reports you. However, if you answer no to all of the above questions, then don’t worry. People build on bridges / aquaducts all the time - that in itself will not get you banned.

Don’t worry what other people tell you. Just enjoy the game how you want to play it.

I would not be blocking anyone from anything at all. Just wanting to build a bridge base. Someone told me that it would be abuse of land claim and I’ll get ban for a month. I’m confused??

if someone report you in actual state of admin work you can be ban for a normal and legit base, because the admin will consider randomly it is too large, even if you not blocking anything and just prevent to spawn some bushes and stones. and i said that because it has happened to me.

after it’s to fc to look himself in the mirror and the one behind this policy to take his responsability

Hypothetically, you should not be banned unless the footprint below your base is very large or blocks some resources or thralls from spawning.

In practice, if someone reports you, anecdotal evidence seems to imply it’s a coin toss based on who the admin is and how closely they look. So, to answer your question…

Can you get banned for building?
Yes. Very yes.
Does it matter what or how you build?
That remains a mystery with conflicting reports and anecdotes.

Funcom still insist that there is NO limit as to how big you can build, but beware the bigger it is, the more likely someone will report you, and depending, as @LostBrythunian suggests, on which admin investigates then the outcome is still open to debate as in my own experience 2 different admins will act differently as to how they manage the situation.

Don’t be afraid to take screen grabs of your base and post them for advice on the forums. For the most part people here will try and help / advise you as how best to proceed.
