Bug Description:

Cannot Mine Underwater Brimstone

Bug Reproduction:

Equip any tool and attempt to mine brimstone underwater. The brimstone vanishes from the world. No brimstone appears in inventory. I am absolutely 10000% positive this is a bug. I have been mining this brimstone for YEARS. It is the only way to get brimstone without going to the popular spots that are usually owned by a clan.

Are they tiny single-hit nodes?

If so, then it is not a bug and was an intentional change. Those are meant to be harvested by hand and being able to get them with a tool was the bug.

If they are large nodes, then you should probably take a screenshot of what nodes you are talking about and give map coordinates to their location.

Source, please? I can’t find where it says this was an intentional change.
It’s a massive change for those who play on PvP servers. The larger nodes are often claimed by clans and either won’t spawn, or won’t allow others to farm them.

The small amount of underwater resources at least allowed some counterplay. Making them unminable seems short-sighted. Where does it say this balance change was intentional?

That at least clears it up.
Sad to see this change, it basically makes life on this server hell but at least I now know it isn’t a bug.
