Can't mine Brimstone

[Not sure it it is intentional or not, but you can’t seem to mine the Brimstone pillars under the water in the Jungle biome. You’re limited to just picking up the random pieces lying on the sea floor.]

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Log in
  2. Go to the Jungle
  3. Swim down and smack the pillars
  4. Watch as nothing happens

I think it’s intended and that is why it is lying on the ocean floor. But I could be wrong look forward to finding out.

I kind of thought that as well at first, but you can mine stone underwater.

Picking up brimstone under water is the way it has been since day one. Not sure if intentional or not. I think it’s to give a better chance of drowning. LOL.

As far as I know they have never been able to be mined, however the small chunks underwater can be hit with a pick to collect more
