Can't get rid of stuff I don't want...Help

When I log in Through my PC… I click on the Conan Exiles on my desktop… A funcom Interface pops up and when I click continue or Launch it does it minute into and takes me to a screen that tells me I have incompatibles mods and sometimes I’m looking at the Age Of Calamitous join screen and sometimes the Isle of Siptah … I had both of those loaded on my server at one time But I din’t care for either of them and want to get back to regular CE… Every time I try to solve this… I came back to the same problem that I have to wait for steam to go through some self correcting crap because of a Mod Conflict… No Customer service or tech sup[port is available at either Funcome or Steam or any company anymore… Ever… So I would appreciate a little help from other PC exiles.

Have you tried Uninstalling Conan and the reinstalling it? If mods work like they did with some older games (Like Homeworld back in the day) then the mods change some of the configurations in the default game files. A clean install will likely fix these issues

Find the file named “modlist” in steamapps/common/Conan Exiles/ConanSandbox and delete it.

Then find the folder named “440900” in Steam/steamapps/workshop/content and delete that.

This will remove any and all mods.

It is possible that your save is corrupt from a mod that was used during that save.
so you might need to roll back or start a new game.

To add: make sure you’re no longer subscribed to any mods on the steam workshop BEFORE doing this, otherwise they’ll automatically be downloaded again.

Unfortunately this is the case with mods, it’s a use at your own risk endeavour.

OT:
Are those numerically named subdirectories uniform and relative to specific game titles? Like will content/440900 be Conan Exiles on everyone’s machine? Asking out of curiosity. Thanks! And sorry for OT…

To the best of my knowledge 440900 is the Conan Exiles Workshop folder designation.

I remember other people referencing this folder.

If you really want to verify it is the correct folder, open it and look in the sub directory’s

they will be also numbered folders, in those you should find *.pak files named for the mods to which they correspond.

eg - workshop/content/440900/880454836/Pippi.pak
Corresponds with the mod “Pippi”
