Why would they? They’re customer support, not community manager. They’re part of the team that handles Zendesk. If you want their attention, use Zendesk, not the forums. Using the @ community tag doesn’t tag them.
Guys, whenever you all make a post about administrative actions, and you get that response that locks the thread and says to direct your questions to Zendesk, this is why.
This would be very much like players on a server I’m admining coming to the forums and saying, “hey, why is night time so long?” Rather than using the server discord. Depending on the time of day and when the post is made, yeah… I’m probably going to miss it. And never see it unless someone pointed it out on discord (which is probably where this individual saw it).
The issue happening here is the person who made the setting change for some reason didn’t indicate it in the MOTD setting also. The person who makes changes in the settings WOULD be the same person who changes the MOTD to reflect such news.
That’s where the screw up happened. I’m sure they were made fun of for it.

If you choose to play on a server that uses Zendesk instead of Discord, what did you expect? Any server can use Zendesk.
The developers don’t run the company provided servers. If they do run their own servers, its not on G-portal.
Also the players who play on company provided servers are no where near the core of this game. FFS people, less than 15% of the playerbase are not the center of the world.

Players on provided servers are not more important. That’s for damn sure.
But the official servers do have business function outside of just hosting the game. It’s also the first introduction to the game and one that can make or break a customer’s viewpoint. Very few new players have already established private servers waiting for them to join. Most of the new players won’t even bother with the game much if they immediately get hit with constant changes, toxic player interactions with no supervision, subjective enforcement of rules (IE the entire premise of player initiated ToS enforcement that leaves some clans getting removed but more obvious breaches on the same server remaining…because it’s only brought to attention if its reported on)…if I ran into any of these issues back in May of 2019, I would have walked away from this game and chalk it up as great idea but just too much to deal with. Luckily it wasn’t that way back then and I grew to enjoy the game and even excuse the bugs…but lets be clear, in the beginning, no way would I have given it a shot if it was this inconsistent. They are trying to correct these things and I love them for that but these are not just any other servers, these are the servers that should hopefully draw you into the game.
I’ll reserve personal questions for personal correspondences.

Consider it evaded. Its a personal question that has no bearing on the discussion. If I say yes or no isn’t going to change the facts listed. You just want to make the argument about me instead of the subject.
It was in response to what Katniss said. Its called a line of discussion. I didn’t ask her what her personal opinion was.
