I have been playing well for over a year and completed many challenges but have yet to receive rewards like crom coins or items that are in the “Ancestral Knowledge” Is this system not working???
You need to claim the rewards on the battle pass page.

Taking it as granted you bought an original 1,200 Crom Coins?
When they first released the Crom Coins concept I couldn’t claim any Challenges on completing things. I was reminded to have that original 1,200 Crom coins to Unlock the Challenges. As you go through and Claim the Challenges on completion, you get the rewards as well as that original 1,200 Crom Coins so that you can be ready for the next Chapters cycle.
Once I had the 1,200 CCs and had used them to buy into the BattlePass Challenges, I could Claim all the challenges I had completed, getting back the 1,200 CCs in the process.
I do hit the clam button but my crom coin does not increase and only get maybe 10% of the item rewards
