new momentum-based movement, which adds acceleration to the player movement to create more meaningful encounter situations

There were two version of that. The first one was god awful horrible. It had some funky animations. The newer one, the one we still have now, is practically the same as the old but without the freaky animations. Maybe a revision is needed.
