Looks like most of it is important stuff and the explanation on why the falling through foundations and floors makes sense in terms of why they are slow to implement anything (they are referencing nemedian foundation issue and the chaos it brought when everyone’s stuff and de-spawned benches and chests that were on them)
I’m curious what the golems combat changes are and will these be more viable. I love them but their weakness to star metal is a pain.
I’m glad they’re taking time with this because I can’t afford to lose another set of bench thralls.
Ok didn’t think of this as a console player.
Shouldn’t that be something for the hotfix news & more thread?
But thanks man, at least they did it this time.
My apologies, I didn’t think of consoles. I’ll edit my post to include the corresponding links.
inventory is not even mentioned, but glad they managed to fix the antelopes
Why on earth do people keep calling these “hotfixes”, they’re not. They’re just normal patches like every game has.
A “hot” fix takes place in 24-48 hours, anything past that and there’s nothing hot about it.
I’m guessing it’s because Funcom calls them that. I agree with you wholeheartedly, though: there’s nothing “hot” about these patches. On the other hand, of all the things Funcom does badly, misusing the word “hotfix” ranks pretty low on the list
In Funcom terms, these are being released a LOT faster than most of the game’s bug fixes…so, probably should be considered a Funcom Hotfix.
I would like to say thankyou to Funcom for the Hotfix. I welcome any and all fixes that come our way at this point. But can also request that you all please, please, please, PLEASE:
If we could get that one taken care of it would be phenomenal and a fantastic return to QoL.
I afraid there no chance for fix Thrall Pot & Pet Feeder any soon.
More important “hotfix” was “Gazelles once again know fear and flee from danger.”
Last I checked the thrall pot worked. I might log in later to check again, but it was working. Key word being “was”.
I’ll have to refer this to the Grammar Tribunal for a ruling. Marketing lies are among the most insidious types of lies known to humankind.
That is some pretty good logic. I think we should call them pseudo-hot fixes.
Looks like something is broken with the hotfix. Got booted. Can’t log in.
Not sure if it’s even in my top 5 funcom misnomers.
So… is it raining inside anybody else’s homes again? (Nemedian roofs and ceilings, for what it’s worth)
Hotmesses seems a more accurate overall term
Maybe rename them to “lukewarm fixes”, because that describes my feeling when reading the patch notes.
Okay, no more mass food gathering by running my horse over a herd of antilopes. Boo.
The original meaning of the term was an update made directly to the live version of software, rather than putting it through a regular development cycle. It wasn’t a time-limited term. So from that perspective the hotfixes we get may in fact be hotfixes.
