because berseker is fine , the problem is with the extremely high defense (90%+ dmg reduction) of “regular” tier 1-3 fighters

I find this complain weird because they die with 3 heavy hits from musashi and just 2 heavy hits with abyssal maul. The lvl 10 NPC’s however need full combos to die.
I thought the same thing when I was farming mounds after reading this topic. Like wdym almost impossible to kill? We can even kill them with stone weapons. It takes a bit longer, but you’ll kill them eventually.
I really think the game is in easy mode atm and we don’t need Funcom to make them even more easier.
Use a katana, aggro everything in mounds of the dead and fight them all at once solo without a thrall. It is still a breeze. Just don’t get stuck between them and you’ll be fine.
Practise in single player and spawn in 5 Arena Champs at once. Still a breeze. I’m not saying I’m good at this game but the game is just too easy atm almost as if Funcom is trying to hold our hands.
Would love to see a demonstration of this.
For someone who claims to be a pvper, you should know that this is easy right? Also makes me wonder how you even survive in pvp if you think fighting 3 cimms is dicey?
Normally they aren’t. Now they hit like a truck and their armor is increased a lot. Bleed them fine but it still takes time.
It’s on the build of the player. A 4 perk grit build will feel a small annoyance from the hyborian soldiers in the well of skelos, but from no other npc of the main map. If i won’t zombie the male Berserkers i will slay them. Holding a Musashi, rolling thrust and both buffs in agility they are butter indeed. Same goes strength build, no agility at all, corrupted 3 perks Abyssal armor, Abyssal maul, 2 perks in strength . Not to mention that they hold war axe sometime now and they are extremely easy. Yet in one of my one life sessions i tried lvl 20 something, no armor to slave a Dalinsia… It didn’t went well, she one shot me . Until lvl 40 our characters are very vulnerable and in some cases lvl 50 is not enough either. Lvl 60 however we have to do something really stupid and i have a master on stupid decisions

People mostly play full encumbrance with low grit or no grit at all. No matter if i wear heavy armor, without grit i am vulnerable. That’s why i always choose 4 grit perk against npcs. So your opinion is standing correct if the build that you use does not include grit build.
I don’t use grit builds when i harvest materials only, but even then i use two perks in grit as well.
Grit was always my best friend in this game since the beginning. You do remember strangely familiar axe. My clan mates were ordering mordlun, predatory, yogs touch, rannisan and reach of the red Mother. My axe was the strangely familiar, it was the axe that will give me safe return to my base since i was constantly over encumbered .
So the experience of each player in here is standing correct because it depends on the build mostly and not so much in the armor. Of course weapons with great stats both in penetration and damage create this difference as well. So the way i see it everybody is right. Yet i feel a small exaggeration in the op tbh. We have seen worst days with Cimmerian Berserkers. I still remember them one shot me with the 2h sword.
Came here to say the same thing. Recently leveled on Siptah and the only way to not get wrecked by the Accursed was to knock them out.
You’re missing something there, nobody says he is unable to defeat them.
For experienced players nothing is really dangerous “theoretically”.
BUT there is an enemy nobody of us can defeat; and this enemy is performance.
Even SP is of bad performance at times, nevermind servers.
Since we can send human enemies fly with a boot kick the arena champion is easier than ever before! (Thx @LostBrythunian for telling me again btw)

But it’s also noteworthy that she hits even harder than ever before because FC increased the damage of npc’s, what basically boosted her to Wonder Woman level of strength.
She is easier to defeat than ever before, but if the performance goes downhill, she can shred you in a matter of seconds!
Same with the mighty Thag, or mobs of enemies.
Theoretically you could use a great sword and cripple them with one heavy (or a different weapon of choice) and finish them off slowly without any problems.
But again, if your enemies don’t even get staggered by your attacks and stagger you instead even if they are too far away to even hit you…
It can happen very easily to get swarmed and killed… even from enemies we fought a hundred times.
And with weak darfaris or skeletons it is not dangerous, it’s simply an annoyance. But with cimerians or volcano thralls it’s just frustrating.
And don’t get me started on balancing in CE.
It doesn’t make a lick of sense.
Do we really need to make npcs more easier than they are now? No fun in killing npcs who don’t pose any threat or whatsoever. It gets boring quite fast.
Wish Funcom didn’t nerfed hyper armor and rolling thrust. That would’ve helped people who struggle with these npcs, maybe.
Don’t worry, we won’t, devs will . And for the record purge npcs have been slightly nerfed on age of war 4. On age of war 3 they were hitting harder.
Agree 100%. You cannot imagine how happy i was when volcano was friendly no more. A lot of staggering has been removed from Siptah bosses as well and it’s good.
Nobody is struggling my friend, @UNfun has already explained that the servers are under performing so people die and get frustrated. So the whole thing in the end seems unbalanced.
For me? Make it harder please! But hey i don’t play alone this game, other than that, i can go single player and do it as harder as i wish.
That’s the only issue I have with this. When you’re fighting a bunch of them at once and the server decides to derp out, then we’re basically screwed. But I totally understand some might get frustrated when that happens. Me personally, I just get back in there and get my revenge. lol

Yea i was usually able to kill accursed by myself now they seem like 3 skulls. 2 lvl 20 dalinsia max str and 90ish damage weapons struggle hard against them
I’m not sure what’s going off. Why are these T1-3 guys nearly as hard to kill as the one skulled Bosses. Yet the T-4 beserkers are as they were even though they are supposed to be stronger! This has to be a glitch?
