OVERPOWERED Forgotten Tribe Cimmerians

Greeting,
not know its bug or intentional change but i noticed that Cimmerians from Forgotten Tribe become very tought.
Having 20 in STR, Reedemed Legion Armor, Axe of the Gate Guardian with best upgrade i need at least 4 full heavy combos to kill even Cimmerian Fighter I, where usualy 1 is enough.

Peeps keep complaining the game is too easy. Devs sometimes listen.

These enemies have between 60-70% damage resistance from armor and your weapon has close to 0 armor pen (sunder won’t give you much benefit until the 3rd or 4th hit). Find a weapon with higher armor pen or use perks like rolling thrust to dispatch them in 1-2 hits.

 This!

Armor penetration + Sunder…
As example and from Siptah with love: DOOM

I understand damage and piercing against certain enemies, but as i writen, before chapter 4, when i casualy run in mounds and was to lazy to switch weapon, that setup i descriped was enough to take lower tier cimmerians almost on one combo and higher to 1,5-2 combos.
Now cimmerians npc armor must skyrocket.

No.
Something weird is going on.
The berserker that spawns alone is similar to how he was before. Normal amount of hp.

The other Cimmerians have been ridiculously buffed.

Each normal Cimmerian (like Tier 3 Fighter) seems to have as many hit points as one of the mammoths up the road

Update: sorry yes its armour not hp. Mace works not swords and axes.

Despite them looking half naked ^^
But the Berserker does not have the same DR despite appearing to wear armour

Greetings Exile,

Thank you for reaching out. Can you share the game mode or server number where you noticed these changes?

We await your reply.

Single Player. Barbaric mode.

Have you read, what Barbaric Mode does regarding enemy Dmg and Armor?

have you read my post?

I did, and for that fact, I´ll go and try what´s the catch there. Since Barbaric also alters the dmg received by enemies. And then alter difficulty to see if there´s a difference.

You, sir with no word have written there that you ALWAYS play on barbaric it could have been a first timer for you - so how to know? And OT-Poster also never mentioned any certain difficutly, but that the NPCs only are “kinda overpowered”. It´s not an offense by any means - it´s trying to help if it is about the difficulty or if there really happened an overpowered barbaric gym opening among the forgotten Tribe ^^

No. You didnt really read my post.

Also single player, decadent mode. My two cimmerian III fighters with star metal weapons was killed to one cimmerian III fighter. My thralls did somewhere between 2 and 6 damage as those npcs did normal 30-100 while my thralls had full cimmerian steel.

EDIT!: Now I gave my thralls maces with spiked weapon mod and those npcs ain’t that hard anymore. So, those forgotten tribe npcs have been boosted but the human error was not to adjust play style.

Well. The point is that you use maces against the armoured opponents.

The Cimmerians are half naked so why do you need to use a mace?

And the lone Cimmian Berserker who IS wearing armour does not have the high DR.

Its a small thing but its still a lazy and illogical buff to them.

Yeah, I agree. It should be more logical.

Furthermore - has this been listed in the patch notes?

If not - then it’s safer to assume that it’s a bug - until stated otherwise - than a design decision.

Greetings Exile,

Thank you for your reply. In that case, could you please share your saved file with us?

You can find it by following:

Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved

It should be the “game” file for Exiled Lands.

Feel free to reach out in private via direct message if you prefer.

Thank you in advance.

Hey @Caroll this actually seems to be a thing and I managed to find the cause.

The stat modifier template applied to Cimmerians seems to have an accidental duplicate entry for their armor multiplier

image

As you can see Float 6 (armor) with a value of 60 is applied twice, resulting in NPCs using this template to have 60x their regular armor
Example: A Tier 1 Cimmerian Alchemist has 13500+10 armor instead of 225+10 (10 is the base humanoid armor)

The reason a lot of us didn’t notice is because this template is only used by lower tier NPCs, the high tier ones have a separate “Elite” template, which does not have this issue.

I also have a copy of the old Chapter 3 devkit and can confirm that the second entry is new to this Chapter and only one was present previously.
If I remove one of them, their armor gets back to normal levels, so the system is clearly applying both

they really should just hire modders to atleast do QA. we have several folks like Xevyr who work with the devkit, some coordination with the official devs could honestly make this game so much better and catch these things early.
it won’t happen, but it doesnt change the fact that it should happn.
