Co-op Player Tethering fix

For those people that want to play the game in Coop mode and are too technically challenged to set up a dedicated server, here is a working permanent fix for the nasty tethering issue. (Thanks console’s!)

Step 1 find you install folder for Steam (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)

Step 2 Locate the folder SteamApps and open it

Step 3 Locate the folder Common and open it

Step 4 locate the folder called ConanExiles and open it

Step 5 Locate the folder called ConanSandbox and open it

Step 6 Locate the folder called Config and open it

Step 7 Locate a file called DefaultServerSettings.ini and edit it with notepad.exe or your favorite text editor. The path to the file should look like this: (Depending on where your steam library is)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Config

Step 8 Scroll down to line 23 that looks like this:

TetheringMaxLimit=102000.0
CoopTetheringLimit=52000.0

Change the first line to read:
TetheringMaxLimit=20002000.0

Change the second line to:
CoopTetheringLimit=10052000.0

Save the file and you are done.

Power up the game and you and your friends can go anywhere on the map without rubber banding to the host.

This is NOT tested on ANY console. Don’t own one, don’t want to. But it DOES work on the Steam version of the game, and I imagine that it should work on any other non-wannabe platform. (If there is any)

**In game this setting maxes out at 52,000. Doing it this way works around that limitation and it stays working. Beware Changing the slider ingame server settings will reset this fix back to 52,000. Which will require a restart and a reapplication of this patch on the game. So it is best to get the server working the way you want, then apply this patch and leave it alone.
