Newly created account since Within’ my own community we’re struggling to find a solution to this problem, which is difficult to explain.

I can join a server, but things dont want to load. Yes, the server is modded. Structures load in, other players load in, but my own model wont load in. I can move around, i can open doors, open menus, see myself in the inventory screen, but other then that, nothing.

I’ve tried many things. Reinstalling, restarting computer, router, computer + router Reinstalling on a different drive, wiping my mods and folder completely(to the best of my knowlege) and reinstalling, verifying. Nothing takes.

I was playing the game on the server fine one moment, then my PC lost connection, as in it couldnt detect an ethernet connection. I rebooted two times and things were fine. but then this issue started. i had this problem twice before in the past, and they just ‘resolved themselves’ randomly one shortly, the other after i took a 6 month break.

I can load single player just fine with our modlist. i can join a vanilla server semi fine, but that result is inconclusive at most, we believe.

. We just started a new season on our server, i got with a group I really like. Please help, two weeks of running fine and suddenly this problem comes back.
Our working theory is that its a communication issue, or at worst a hardware issue.

(I cannot link any screens or modlists due to new account restrictions, otherwise i would have included them in order to better describe my issues)

You just need to read their policy and communication that already exist. Then come back here and retry to post.

It’s because I’m a new profile. And i dont see a reason to muddle around on other posts right now when i cant even play the game myself, I’m just trying to find help and I’m coming up empty myself

This is beyond frustrating me right now, Swapped out my Modem to see if that was a cause since i was having issues in other games with online features, those issues are gone but this ones still being a pain in the ass so i’m back to having no clue on what to try, nothing makes sense!

Is your character using the invisible admin command? If you use it again, it should pop back in.

No. no Invisible, just not loaded in.

The screenshot you provided shows pretty much what it looks like when the invisible command is used.

If its not that (or a mod calling on that function and forgetting to release it). Then there is a model your character is using that isn’t present or lost its reference. You’ll need to either use a mod feature to change your character’s body (like a shapeshift or what not) if one is present, or you’ll need to recreate your character.

Here’s a good question, when loading into Singleplayer, with the same modlist, does the problem exist there too?

No, It does not. single player works fine.

This is more then my body ‘not appearing’ it doesn’t load in. Even though i can see other player models, they dont move correctly, they run into walls continuously.

I gave your modlist a quick glance and noticed several mods are out of date since June of last year. At least one hasn’t been updated since 2022. Not every mod needs to always be updated, but the longer they go without a recook, the more updated features they miss and can start to do weird things.

The modlist is also pretty chonky, and while I don’t believe there is a total memory limit and you can pretty much run as many mods as you’d like. You might be finding some loading issues if its overly large. I know on one server I was on, they had to reduce the total amount of mods so some people could actually login, they would timeout while trying to connect.

If you are the server owner, I could suggest doing a temp wipe as a test. Basically move your game.db out and run the server with a fresh one. Login and see if you can create a character normally. Also take the game.db and load it into singleplayer and load it up to see if your model isn’t loading in.

If you’re not, the only troubleshooting step I can think of is to recreate character and see if the problem persists.

I’m a bit troubled at the idea the server restarts twice a day. I’m curious to why. Fresh servers only need to restart twice a week. Older servers maybe once every 2 days, with heavy servers being once a day (heavy being 70/70 or more during primetime and a good set of mods).
