I remember the days before thralls were so powerful that we had to build structures to kill boss animals. The old kill pits where we had to draw them in and close the opening behind them.

Entering dungeons with trepidation because even the Abyssal Grub could take you out.

But, I truly miss the old Unnamed City. It was far dangerous than the current one. There were two green dragons skulking around the Obelisk. Five King scorpions wandering the area, and more skeletons. It really was a place to avoid unless you had the best of equipment, and friends to go with you. Now, bring a thrall and watch.

Omg man you simply don’t know what you’ve done to me right now. I was really sure that the obelisk had a dragon under but when I started playing online and took a guy I just met to kill a dragon there, I find no dragon so I felt idiot, idiot and embarrassed. So after that I began to believe that it was on my imagination…
Omg, thank you very much m8, really, not for this only but for all the help you’re giving me all these years without even knowing it.

You are welcome. They also changed the topography in that area of the city. I have some old screen shots that show the way it used to look. I’ll have to find them from about four Playstations ago.

Anybody else remember when animals were worth having as pets? @Wak4863 and I used to do Star Metal runs in cold weather gear with our boss sabretooths. I miss those guys, Get Lucky and the other one whose name I do not remember.

If you find these photos (please find them) upload them on @JJDancer post for an old screenshot. This post of JJ is full of memories, valuable memories for all of us. Thank you again @speedice :+1:t6:.

They still are… you just have to level them up first. There’s a HUGE difference between a newborn and a level 20. For example I had 10 panthers all level 0. I enticed a single skull tiger into the area and he killed every one of them in a total of two hits. ~=shock=~ Then I leveled up a new panther to 20 and he took out the three skull White Tiger all by himself losing only about half health. And that’s not even considering the Greater Panthers you can raise. And panthers in general are one of the weakest animals.

Some greater animals are like named human thralls and don’t really even need leveling. The only thing we need to bring them on par with the toughest named thralls is craftable armor.

Hmm, what a better time to time capsule the game, than… right now, before the Sorcery update goes live along with an in game store.

Right now, we have Siptah and the new buildings for it. It’s not perfect, I much rather have the version where we didn’t have building stability and you could build however you wanted (woah!) but it’s the version of Conan Exiles before it turns into a completely different game!

Archive the game, guys!

I had a greater hyena once!

His name was Aristotle. He used to one shot deer whenever I needed greater food. It was great.

I have a leveled up Greater Wolf named Fluffy… He can one-hit 3 human NPCs if they’re standing close to each other.

So true my dear @Sera67, so true. I envy you, I don’t own the disk, but still even if it’s blue ray it won’t have more than 20 giga, so you’ll need an update to continue playing, isn’t it? Still give it a try and if you can share a photo please.
@Tenzo my first greater pet was a greater hyena too, Diego, he helped me everywhere, together we explored all the map. I was farming exquisite meat just for him…
I lost Diego in the volcano, he died in lava, I still remember how much it hurt me… A LOT. I even stopped playing for a couple of days. Then my first bearer 3, she teached me the power of war axe. Until then I was playing with 2h swords and every cave or night was a big NO for me. I took her with me to farm iron and she bleed the rock noses. I went straight back home and I fixed an ancient war axe for me, I was so proud for this axe (:rofl::rofl:).
Then caves and night became a great yes, I could hold a torch and a weapon now, omg I was badass :rofl::rofl:. I lost Stauroula (the name of my bearer) in the silver mine cave, I wanted to check the lower levels…
Again 2 days off…
I was so afraid back then and desperate but I didn’t give up. Back then the game had the survival feeling a lot.
Like @TeleTesselator said my first greater wolf was snow white and ofcurce I finally meet Tugra.
He was my free pass to the whole map. I was 60 finally, after 1 month of gaming and I could finally open my first legendary chest. I had at least 10 by killing the great crock so I will finally go 60. The first weapon? Blade of the adventurer. I have it to Tugra because I didn’t want to ruin it until I put an upgrade and he was slaying everything in the way just like that, I was omg game over, unnamed city here I come…
Beautiful days, beautiful memories.

I remember my first days. Our first base at the river… T1 and I tried to make a wall around… At this time T1 fences where only fences with no anti climb function.
I remember how I was trying to do something that you can not climb over. With walls… then ceiling and then a wall down again … It was ugly… But it wasn’t climbable… For me… Not for the level 60 guys that where griefing our clan in our first days. :joy:

Usually i was playing fifa with my friends… But they wanted something new and Conan was just fresh released… So we started to play… I never saw or read something about the game… Just buy install and try out. Even the words ‘its a survival game’ I heard the first time when I was asking… What?? I need to eat? Bugs?

This was a really awesome feeling don’t know anything about the game and try to survive… That’s what I am missing this feeling i will never get back again… The dark nights… I remember how I just climb up trees or stones and was waiting until its day again… Torches where more expensive at this time.

Or this: where are you? Few seconds ago I was behind you where are you now?.. There was no location of your friends on the map… Of course now I think it’s a good feature… But it would be nice if its enabled at level 30 or something… Just for this feeling being lost and don’t know where your friends are.

I will never get this feelings again in this game but I am happy that I do it this way without any information about the game.

The same i did once with the first matrix movie…I don’t even known the genre this movie was… What a flash after the movie was finished :joy:

Same feeling at conen… What a flash after every day the first weeks :joy:
The first raids against us… How stupid we where… Oh I would like to get this time back…

Oh I rember one thing more… We had our first thralls and we was at our base… The thrall start running to a wall and running into this wall… I asked my friends what’s going on? Is he crazy? Boom bang and there was no wall anymore Someone was raiding us :joy:

Its… 48-50ish Install. I just turn auto update off.

fully Playable. Up to Northern Savanna, were Ghost fence blocks path to Northern lands. Don’t remember if Jungle was blocked off… Jungle had heat on it, so it was easy at start of game go there and be “hot”

I use to play disc only, cause thralls would still spawn unclothed or in normal faction clothes. So when I ported it to update version of game they Kept there outfits.

If i remember to nab photos… I should have abunch of Ghosts who are on other side of Ghost fence. New PC doesnt have any of back ups.

Experiencing something for the first time, whether it’s love or Conan Exiles or love of Conan Exiles, will always be special to us. That’s why I try to avoid spoilers about games, movies and books - it’s not just about the suspense of “who is the killer?”, but rather the whole first-time experience. Reruns will have their own value, and you can better concentrate on the nuances and little details than on the first time - but the first experience will often be the definitive one to us…
