Heās not talking about your mod @Xevyr !
The worst thing Iāve noticed on console is often going in a straight line past the enemy when I chain my 2nd attack in a chain, striking thin air instead. Itās a bit frustrating. This became more obvious when I recently soloed two events on Sepermeru. Itās a whole lot of dudes to kill. This made it harder in the wrong way. Btw, they should buff the final bosses. They are so sluggish it feels anti climatic after the carnage we leave behind. The area was completely littered with corpses. Compared to AoS, where I believe these events were the same, combat felt more clunky.
yes quite - your fix is an actual fix ![]()
Ugh, yeah re: repair kits. I always used to prioritize getting a tempersmith/temperwright to make the legendary kits to repair my stuff but now theyāre meh. Now those kits drop as loot (albeit with their new āmasterā name) and the things Iād typically use them on either I canāt in the case of legendaries or also drop often enough itās not that big a deal for the perfected/unique stuff.
And I can make the rest of my gear (tools and the like) so I just repair them in my benches instead.
Repair kits are good for one thing: repairing looted equipment you want to illusion. I often donāt bother crafting gloves or shoes for my thralls because itās not cost-effective use of hardened leather; so instead I give them, er, second-hand Cimmerian heavy gloves and boots. But items can be illusioned only at full durability, so I use repair kits (also looted) to fix those boots and gloves. Also, if I manage to find a good-looking but statistically unimpressive article of clothing (say, Khari Overseer), I can repair that with a kit and use it as an illusion.
It doesnāt matter how low their durability gets if theyāre worn by thralls - only that the durability is at its current maximum when illusioned.
A single thrall should NOT take on a big group of enemies or bosses by themself. This was the case before and made the game boring. You could just sit back and watch thralls win a game for you. Now the game focuses on YOU and thatās great. I think the melee thrall balance is great now. They arenāt winning a fight for you but are a great asset if leveled up and have good gear. If you send one thrall vs an army, the fault is on you.
With that said, archer thralls are completely useless in PVP and PVE. They do literally no damage. Even equipped with explosive arrows, they do absolutely nothing.
As for combat. It makes no sense to me that theyāve removed what made combat engaging, which is unique penalties and benefits of each armor type. Now heavy armor is the only armor that makes sense. This defeats purpose of any builds or collecting different armors.
Itās pretty much on par with other armors that work well for low levels. Iād imagine the the armor variety in DLCs is good for illusions, too. Being able to craft epic armours will help the rest of the way.
