Why is nothing being done about the constant crashing? It happens multiple times a day and at random moments. For example I’ve been trying to arrange my placeables but every time I click to move something the game crashes. Going into Sinners Refuge is a common one. Get half into the cave or catch a thrall and it crashes. There are many random times this happens and every time it happens I file a report but nothing happens to fix this.
Do you care about the people who have made this game what it is? The amount of money and time spent by so many people. I’m physically challenged and limited and can’t play the online version because of that. I play single player because it’s my only enjoyment. My anxiety and depression are sky rocketing and you just don’t care about making this game stable.
Two odd years ago crashing was rare. Then I had a massive stroke and now crashing is common. Why aren’t you addressing these issues???
Probably because it’s not happening. This sounds like an isolated issue. Meaning, it’s happening because of something on your end. The game hasn’t crashed in years. You may have to reinstall the game. Something on your end has become corrupted. Also make sure you have enough space on your hard drive. I don’t know how much is needed but if you don’t have enough, it can cause crashes.
This is not a Conan Exiles issue, this is a your system issue almost certainly.
It’s NOT an isolated issue! This is happening to other people in single player mode. I have deleted and reinstalled the game several times. I have reformatted my PS more than once. It is NOT on my end. It is funcom!
Did you do a clean reinstall?
Did you folder dive to delete Conan files? If not, you didn’t do a clean reinstall.
But if a few people are having the same issue it’s best to find out what they have in common, so tell us about your rig.
Do you have these same issues on an official server?
Are you running any mods?
He/She said single player and blue screens. Not server crashes. Different issues and causes. BLUE SCREENING is NOT related to the game.
This is FROM PLAYSTATION. It is not a Funcom issue.
Blue screen crashes on a PlayStation can be quite concerning. Unlike PC blue screens, PlayStation blue screens often indicate hardware issues or system file corruption rather than software conflicts.
Common Causes:
- Faulty Hard Drive: A failing hard drive can cause blue screen crashes.
- Corrupted System Files: System files may become corrupted, leading to crashes.
- Power Supply Issues: Problems with the power supply can cause instability.
- Incompatible USB Devices: Faulty or incompatible USB devices connected to the console can trigger crashes.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Restart Your PS4: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.
- Update System Software: Ensure your PS4 is running the latest system software.
- Initialize PS4: Reinstalling the system software can fix corrupted files.
- Check Hardware: Inspect the hard drive and power supply for any issues.
- Remove USB Devices: Disconnect any USB devices that might be causing conflicts.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be best to contact PlayStation support for further assistance.
Thanks a million, i totally missed this part…
Thanks again @dniezby and @Annoyed accept my apologies for my idiotic reply!
It wasn’t an idiotic reply; you were simply trying to help. To be honest, I also overlooked the fact that he was playing in single-player mode initially. My attention was more on the quickness to blame the game, whereas PlayStation has stated that games do not cause Blue Screen crashes; those are caused by hardware issues.
It seems like it might be time for someone to upgrade to the next generation.
I play right now daily every two hours on single player. I even twitch it for live feedback. Single player performs very well, especially since i use performance mode. But it still has game breaking issues. Right now i play with the bug 59-60. Tbh i have done almost everything without an issue with 59 attribute points, it sounds more game breaking that it actually is. But if i was a new player, i wouldn’t appreciate this bug and i would feel that it’s getting on my way to thrive in this game.
About blue screens i play with people who suffer them even in elder scrolls online. I don’t suffer blue screens, but the game in times stops, i am getting a loading bar with some kB and it’s asking to accept the report. I always press “accept the report” and i log back in to continue the game.
The last 2 weeks, on approximately 28 hours of gaming, this happened 3 times! It’s a fair amount of crashing so far considering the past. I could say so far so good, but this wouldn’t be a helpful feedback. So far so good is no crash at all.
I only play single player mode. Since the previous update (prior to this last one) I have been having constant crashes, blue screens, screen freezing. It doesn’t matter if I play it in performance mode or quality mode. Same issues all the time. I know that many users are experiencing the same problems.
I even deleted the game and reinstalled it, but it didn’t fix anything.
I have more than 40 games on ps4 (some bigger and more demanding than Conan) and the only game that gives me problems is Conan exiles.
Given the incompetence of Funcom, I have decided to drop Conan, and check from time to time if their minds have enlightened, which has not happened so far.
I’m going to knock on wood. I have not had any crashing issues in a REALLY long time. I have NEVER had a Blue Screen crash on my PS5.
So strange. You’d think that if it were the software, it would happen. What about dust? Do you all clean out the dust regularly? That could explain the Blue Screen crashes. It’s over heating? I don’t know. Just glad I don’t have these problems.
Blue screen is one thing, the game stops and take you to the report mode is another.
Blue screens use to be on ps4, on ps5 i still didn’t had any.
Online i haven’t crash too, just connection lost.
Offline is something different.
Do you play single player?
Everytime I get a blue screen the game has stopped responding and I’m getting the error that something is wrong with Conan Exiles and I’m asked to file a report. I do this every single time. The only game on my PS is Conan. Everything else was deleted and my system was reinstalled. I’m not the only person having these issues yet people want to blame everything but the game and I’m telling you it is the game, NOT my system. My PS is lifted so air can circulate around it. Dust is regularly taken care of. We look after our machine. I appreciate that people are trying to offer solutions but the solution for these issues has to come from funcom.
No, I only engage in Official PvP but approach it as if it were PvE. This means we construct bases that are both stunning and effective. As a result, we often get offlined, but our extensive experience makes a complete wipe nearly impossible. We’ve strategically hidden supplies throughout the map. Our determination is unwavering. Once we choose a location, we stay put. During one raid, the attackers exhausted their bombs. They departed to resupply, and by the time they returned, we had already rebuilt. It was quite amusing; I regret not recording it. When they came back on horseback, ready to “finish the job,” they paused, looked around as if searching for any remaining damage, and then simply rode away. They never returned and eventually left the server. After two hours of assault, they gained nothing of value. We remain undefeated.
PvP is the only mode we feel reflects the theme of the game. I’ll send you the server if you want to play. We had a 10 man but really, we’re down to four or 5 whenever they show up. We don’t put in the hours we used to for sure. Not because of the game “issues” but because there are other games that need some lovin too.
I understand something .
Our game on single player has amazing combat performance, but in all the rest…
Stay online .
Plus i am really happy you’re having a blast .
Exactly !
Okay, so out of curiosity, I spoke with my cousin who is a software engineer with 35 years of experience. He said, if it’s blue screening is always a hardware problem. I updated him on what you said about “asking to file a report” and his reply was the same. While he doesn’t play Conan, he said, from what I explained, it sounds like your "playing a game out of spec. Check for a compatability mode (I said its on Playstation) he said “see if there is a GPU adjustment.” Which there is, you can change the graphic mode to “performance”. It’s in the settings somewhere, I forget. But you will find a drop down with a value you can change.
If that doesn’t work, see if there is update to the system software and check for any conflicts with harware. (I don’t know how you would do that) I think he means what PS said when I asked them about your problem. (See above earlier reply)
It sounds like you’ve already done most of the checks he suggested (except maybe the “performance” mode. However, sadly, in my research in your issue, (yup, I get obsessed when I don’t know an answer to something. ) Is that it is 100% not a software issue. It is hardware related. The hardware is causing the game to crash. That’s why you’re getting the error to report. Usually, it will fix itself by resarting the game or even the Playstation. However, it sounds like your hardware issue is more serious. Without benchmarking, it would be difficult to pin point what is having the issue. I can almost bet though, that it’s the GPU.
You are correct @dniezby, but trust me, @Annoyed is correct too. I know @Kazalakis personally, we play together almost every day, yet look what happened to him on single player…
His console is going to a technician for cleaning really often, he even stopped the vibration not to harm his special edition controllers…
These ain’t lies, these are facts. We love the game, we spend money on bazaar, we didn’t lost any of the updates or battle pass.
Single player is our extra playground, we do our tests, our building pilots or whatever else you can imagine.
My friend, it needs love, it’s in a bad shape, believe me!
The issues I faced in single player made me sad, because on single player I was able to do tests in order to discover what building based on official server rules I could bring to online.
Also at single player I could keep memorial buildings and use it as a safe heaven away from toxic players, drama, trolls and griefers following up to do exploration with out the need of internet.
But due to the issues I have reported and the aftermath I expiresed, I can’t no longer play single player nor enjoy through it the new stuff like luifei’s and freya’s quests nor to restore what I have lost.
Part of the sadness is the memorial which I lost was a castle which I have builded to honor the people I enjoyed played and the people I still enjoy play conan exiles. Among the people I still enjoy play conan is my amazing friend @stelagel, who is a good supporting friend too (and he too was included in that memorial) along the one who motivates me to keep playing the game and never loose faith on anything.
There isn’t a GPU adjustment for the PS4 as it’s built-in on one chip.
