I know you need corruption for spells but is there a way to remove the health detrimental effects? to do any of the cool spells you literally need to be dead and thats not very fun to play. Or maybe remove corruption requirements for spells?

Yes. In order to do your spells you can grab or wear something that will give you instantly the amount of corruption you need to cast each spell. In order to remove it you can carry with you plenty cleansing brew or some hearts of heroes, but hearts have half hour timer only.
But! While wearing the Abyssal armor your character is extremely op and having half hp points means nothing.
Try using Abyssal armor with 20 vit, 20 grit and 20 agilty and surprise me with what managed to kill you.

Everyone would run a sorcery build if there wasn’t a downside to such a powerful build, it would simply be too OP and therefore need some huge wacks from their big nerf hammer

Yes, she will definitely visit naked or light dressed the giant and share his campfire before she visits frost keep and the heart of volcano.
The peer of darkness may be a powerful weapon but only if you use it so the light prevails.
Corruption is a powerful tool that can help you achieve your goals easier. But don’t bound to it, because it will consume you before anything else will. I think that’s the “message” from devs in this game, but i may be wrong.

, nope i named my character from my dog. She is my hero in many survival games i play now. I won’t lie, years ago when i started this female character on Conan exiles i said to my self Wtheck let’s play female character for once. It was her birthday and she was sleeping on my feet. When i created my character i said to her, look Bella you have a human avatar now and she barked 
. After awhile playing female character in this game there was not return, their job was absolutely stunning compared the ape style they created on male character, women had both style and grace, absolutely better in every aspect.
Create a female character @darkpower and witness the perfection of battle style in each weapon, especially while holding a katana. You’ll see, you just have to break your taboos like i did 6 years ago.
