SPRINT ON Make sure your sprint is always ON. This works at run speed 4 which I am limited to because the game won’t let me buy anything from Funcom download instead of Steam. I am not sure if sprint times out or not, I tried to reset it at times because sometimes the platform disappeared, if I attempt a jump that fell flat and I landed on the same platform, I reset my sprint like it timed out (true or not I have no clue). This took alot of practice and discernment, and on my second attempt at level E17 and almost maxed gear it took 3-4 hours.
START POINT: First starting point. Be in the DEAD center. Sprint ON. TARGET MIDDLE OF EYE OF NEXT PLATFORM: Jump always with your target reticle/crosshair in the middle of the EYE of the next platform (look up and down the platform they make an eye. Always hit dead center for the next jump. Some jumps might require a look up and down for you to know where the spot is. With practice you get a feel for where to jump.
JUMPING: When you jump, you should press the step forward button and a quick (spacebar) jump, this timing is the same for all jumps, and takes some practice. Do not do these actions together. Step forward, and quick jump with spacebar (this may differ if you changed the controls). My step forward is “Up arrow” but I have customized my controls because I didn’t like the strafing.
JUMP ADJUST: 6 Oclock except for first jump (dead center) On all jumps except for the very first jump which is dead center. You want to adjust yourself very softly to be on the 6 oclock southern section of each platform, I usually landed at 9 Oclock and readjusted two times to 6 Oclock, by a soft back movement to center, and then a soft back turning movement to 6 Oclock.(two very light quick and soft movements).
Otherwise you fall off the platform and start again. You need to do this for every jump and you need to do it quickly which is why it took me 4 hours. You also don’t want to overdo the correction or it takes too much time or you screw it up and fall off. Perfect this first! It’s a Rhythm… SHOUTOUT to all the Pom-pon Girls of the 1990s (We Have Wisdom too, And movement memory is one of them:) MAKE MY DAY!
FIRST JUMP: DEAD CENTER (use tactic above) JUMP TO Stone: Use same tactics, target middle of stone. Activate the staircase of 10+ jump (I didnt have time to count them). Ignore speed clock that is for an achievement I wasnt able to get. If you do this, repeatedly start with a fresh activation here. I think there may be a clock involved.I wouald say you have about 5 second per jump without trying for the achievement. Use the tactics above to keep up the staircase of platforms. Best wishes! Once to the top the right side with 2 more jumps to a lore and you drop after you get it. So you have to start over to finish Cost of Magic Mission. On the left you have two more jumps to complete the Cost of Magic mission. However this seems very quick to drop you so don’t overanalyse, and leap with faith yet still apply the “jump adjust” advice but quick. GOOD LUCK!
