Could we please have permanent paints?

Some war paints don’t cover the face, Tiger war paint, Crocodile, one of the Aesir ones that was in the Battlepass to name a few

As someone who’s spent thousands on tattoos, I support the idea of permanent ink on my character. Personally, I’ve set the decay timer to the absolute maximum so I don’t have to apply war paint to my character and thrall army as often. As I tend to be careful when playing, I know once my character’s war paint expires, it’s time to do the rounds and apply it to all my thralls

Could create a tattooist that’s similar to the one in AC Valhalla. Find the patterns out in the world or craft them, take the pattern to the tattooist bench so they can learn it permanently. Apply pattern to your character from menu. Pattern remains unless fluid is applied or you switch patterns

They’re few and far between… and no, I believe all of the battle pass ones cover the face to some degree. I believe the one you’re thinking of was a bit less obtrusive, but still added some elements—around the eyes and a few markings on the face—unless I’m mistaken and missed it. Regardless , it’s really bothersome since some of them look pretty cool otherwise.

It’s gonna be a separate bench from the dyers bench that takes up 6 blocks, has a table to lay on (that you don’t actually lay on, but just for looks), tons of jars of inks around it, and a sterilization area, plus tons of torches to ensure it’s both well lit and extra lag-inducing.

No, more balanced than buffs are now.

I wouldn’t mind this if it was a chair for the thrall and a stool for the player.

I was thinking more traditional Japanese layout

Sim as tintas era muito boas quando tinha BUFF porém era antes do ajuste de jogador/seguidor como isso foi invertido faz sentido não serem mais eficazes, mas será bem vindas se voltarem no futuro

I’m not incredibly invested in the topic at hand here, but I do have a basic thought on consumables like this. That basic idea of a purely cosmetic effect on a character should have some permanence. At best, these cosmetics could last until removed no matter what. At very least, I believe that these warpaints could last until the player actually dies. I personally don’t see any reason this shouldn’t be the case.

That would even be a reasonable compromise if they did remove the decay.

I would even go as far as to say that only removing the decay/durability is the better solution. It doesn’t throw the entire warpaint crafting process into the garbage bin (I would argue it even incentivizes it’s use because I will bet a lot of people as it is cba to upkeep them), and, it gives more flesh to the idea that we are remade into a new body when we come back to life.

Hmm, wonder if I should post my tattoo…

To follow up on my earlier post… I had four characters prepped and logged out for the patch. Exactly zero of them got the permanent warpaint this round. Swing and a miss. Not sure if something changed in the code and it’s no longer possible or there’s some other factor I missed.

Maybe just as well since the warpaint for the new event would almost certainly overwrite it anyway.

I’m not gonna lie, I totally forgot about the event before launch. (I’m on console so no testlive.) It’s still something I’d like to see eventually though.

Yeah, I’ve had my warpaint stick for a long while now… unfortunately the new event made me overwrite it… gotta pray that I can bug it again after this is over somehow.
