Hey all, I want to start playing and was wondering how the grind is and how long to level? And I assume its mostly done solo at lower levels? Also am I forced to do PVP or are there just PVE servers?
P.S. Any class you guys recommend that good for solo leveling caster wise? Thanks guys…
First just to make sure you’re in the right spot: this is the forum for Age of Conan, not Conan Exiles.
(we get a number of wrong posts here and your comments about servers and that you last posted here 4 years ago makes it seem like you might have posted in the wrong spot thinking this is Exiles)
But I’ll cover both:
Age of Conan: there’s 2 servers 1 PvE (Crom) and 1 Pvp (Fury). The default seems to be set on Fury so make sure you click on Crom so you know you’re going to the PvE server).
Once on Crom than no, no forced Pvp.
The grind is what you make of it. If you play steady and take your time you should be able to hit 80 within a week easily (I honestly don’t know as I’m a casual and just play when I want and enjoy myself doing what ever). I think the quickest I’ve heard of for someone hitting 80 is less than a day via power leveling.
Pop is way down and I mean WAY down so yeah you’re looking at a LOT of solo play right up to 80. It’s really only after you’ve hit 80 that you move into the raiding side of think and start doing group contnet.
So caster? I’d say Tempest of Set, although I think Bear Shaman is mentioned alot too.
On the off chance you were asking about Conan Exiles: There are a number of different servers both official and unofficial, you’ll find Pvp, PvE, RP-Pvp, RP-PvE etc….. so you’ll just have to read each description to get the right one.

Leveling in Age of Conan is mostly solo at lower levels. The grind can take some time but is manageable, especially if you follow quests. You are not forced into PvP; there are PvE servers where you can play safely. For a solo caster, classes like the Sorcerer or Priest are good choices because they deal damage and can heal themselves. Focus on quests and exploring zones to level efficiently.
