modded server will not start up
I sincerely wish you all would actually fix thing instead of breaking them… You do this constantly… and it sucks ******* **** *** ******. I pray you stop doing the same thing over and over… it’s called insanity and I’m begging you to stop doing after years of suffering your updates and DLC’s. I have no faith in you at all, sorry.
Clearly you don’t see the issue… that’s alright… you can defend FUNCOM for being horrible. Late devkits… 100 hot fixes later… why am I being tortured by this when it should be problem solved on a TEST server.
I run a server… and my test server is unmodded… and won’t start… I’m not the only one having the issue. Anyways this is a big problem with FUNCOM… please hear me… they are not doing it proper or I wouldn’t be here.
Most Mods are likely going to need to be updated. If you want to test, just go into a vanilla Solo game and see if it works. Backup your game base on Server before, obviously, and check out the respective Mod Discord groups for updates.
When running a Modded server one has to always be aware that the mods can often be affected by any changes to the game.
If unmodded and accessing a vanilla game, check if you can get in via Solo mode. If you get errors, report via standard Fault channel in Funcom Forum. Same if you crash out on an Official server.
If modded, check the Mod Discord or Steam for updates from the Mod-Author. Any changes to any game can and often affects mods. If you play on a private server, check with the Admin(s) and see what they say. The core, mainstream mods are, and still are maintained. If the mod is not updated or maintained, well then remove it - always the risk with using mods. Of course, so many games won’t be as supportative to the Modding community as Funcom are to Conan Exiles.
@Blackthorn
You’re absolutely right, errors since the game came out have been ignored, constant unnecessary patches that bring more errors than to be repaired, in my opinion the new map is totally unnecessary, it would have been better to expand the existing map and the bugs to edit that you finally have a bug-free game
I can’t even load past the first screen… Fatal Crash reported… I can’t even test the game, it doesn’t function for me. My point is that FUNCOM needs to wake up to reality. They always affect and cause havoc to mods for weeks and weeks… this time its been 6 weeks of BS. I make a vanilla server and I will quit playing… they made critical changes to the code that literally screws everyone… they do it every time. I’ve been a server owner for years… I’m looking for the next thing FUNCOM cleary doesn’t care about me or my concerns, not once ever… this is tiring me out… that’s the reality. Late devkits… wrong devkits… too many patch, fixes, and updates from Funcom that don’t fix outstanding issues. They can’t even fix the tent graphic 6 weeks later, that’s a lame horse right there… well they might have but I won’t know for a week or so… this is bad business and we all know it.
as if funcom ever hear on anyone, look there are bugs in this game known since 5 years now and still unfixed in siptah… after 5 years reporting bugs, i came to the conclusion, funcoms programmers never read this forums never see those problems the comunity has, all fixed bugs are only those they themself discroverd…
and dont missounderstood me forum admis are not devs not programmers wich work on the code, they only sort censor and coment stuff people wrote down, iam very shure now none of the bugs found in 5 years have reached those wich could fix them…
programmers live in a bubble no time to read, and there is no connetion between them and the comunity…
