Deadeye perk unacceptable on fighter thralls

Name’s not Mickey, I have learned to accept most of the mangled variants on my name but that one I never liked. Anyway…

My point goes nowhere, necessarily. It’s just that most people are susceptible to confirmation bias and (way) too small sample sizes and end up posting their personal streaks as if they were objective data rather than subjective experiences.

I also did not aim that at you in particular, it’s a general reminder not to draw conclusions too soon, and a case of how persistent the myths that spring up as a result can be.

Thank you, I’ll look it up. Their live streams always coincide with me being stuck in traffic so I rarely catch ‘em.

I hope their solution is a complete rework. Thrall development should be based on what they do and what you feed them.

Give them a heavy weapon = more strength. Light weapon = agility Bow = Accuracy.

On top of that, gruel shouldn’t grow strong thralls though it might increase survival. They should need rich foods like meaty mashup and the like for best vitality and stamina increases.

the current perk data is not splitted between archers and fighters. it’s all listed under human and there is no other system or data involved in the perk selection. no armor type, no strength values or the equipped weapon. also not relevant the position of the sun or the moon. it’s all random. not more and not less. only random

a possible fix: make copies of all human typed perk data and group it into archer and fighter and remove the not matching perks from the groups and let the thrall data point to the new groups. in the thrall data the archer and fighters have different entries so it’s easy to set the correct perk group per thrall type. maybe add more groups to the list so that bearer and entertainer also have a specific set of perks.

Another possible solution is to make these perks acceptable by implementing secondary bonuses for strength and accuracy, so that accuracy also gives a bonus to melee weapon armor penetration and strength also gives a bonus to ranged weapon armor penetration.

Or like I suggested before, bonus to melee damage +2% from strength and +1% from accuracy. Then have accuracy increase armor penetration (I said 1% per five ranks max 10%).

I also recommend strength increases attack speed the same way (max 10%).

I know I’m not the only one whose shot a bow in real life and knows that you have to be strong as well as accurate and that the reverse applies to melee combat.

I hope the fix is retroactive. I read somewhere a patch might be made tomorrow. I’ll accept a reroll for perks after the fix.

Imo, just remove accuracy from the game and make strength buff ranged attacks also, and roll the accuracy perks over to strength as well.

The actual element of ‘accuracy’ is entirely down to player skill, and the accuracy perks all relate to the results of strength, e.g. heavy shots knocking an opponent back, headshots dealing more damage.

When it comes to thralls, the devs would need to do very little, the ranged and melee damage modifiers speak for themselves. Just remove the perks related to accuracy.

Also what would be nice: Reset a thrall! Lets say you have a purge fighter and he gets a bad perk. There should be a way to completely reset it to lvl0 and level fresh again.

Maybe with the artefacts?
