Decay HELP needed plz

Hi, I’m not sure if my server is bugged or something is wrong with decay timers or something else. I’ve reset the server settings to default to make it easier but it has not changed anything.

Issue:

  1. Decay timers don’t seem to keep running when no one is online so inactive player bases take an unreal amount of time to decay.

(Not the biggest issue, but would be nice if they continue to run down, any help much appreciated :+1:)

Main issue:

Buildings that are counting down on inactive player bases only count down when someone is online and yesterday I kept an eye on it and when I was logging off I checked to see decay timer and it was on 19hrs, but then logging in today all the buildings that should be down to around 9hrs now are all reset back to 25hrs, and when I log out and back in after an a couple of hours (once I see it at around 23hrs) when I log back in they are all at 25hrs again.

Is there a way to fix this problem, any help will be much appreciated :+1:

Hopefully it’s not a bug and it’s some sort of setting.

Some decay timers will reset when the game is restarted. I mean that they only work while the game server is running. Look at the meteor topics for a wider discussion of timers in single player mode.

Thanks for the reply :+1:

It’s a private gportal server,

Everytime it resets it’s reseting the decays on the bases that should be going bye bye, but it will never go bye bye cause it keeps resetting.

I’ve changed the settings back to default and saved with gportal and still it does the same.

is this a bug?

Thanks :+1:

Okay, I’m looking at the daily reset. I’m unsure what/if you mean it will not go bye bye. Because the daily reset affects the timers?

 :+1:

:joy: I mean bye bye as in the buildings won’t go into decay state cause the timers reset evertime the server resets, which means they never disappear.

They used to, even with the resets, but now it’s seems all over the place, nothing goes and they reset to 27hrs every time.

Thanks

Gotcha. I think it is not isolated to the ps. Now it sounds like the 27 hrs is indeed a bug.

I’ve put down foundations and chests on those foundations all in the wild. I have not experienced such an issue. I have ideas what it may be, but maybe best to let you play with that small build. :+1:

@RogueBudda a few questions is this your first Gportal server. How days did you have decay set up for originally 10 days 240 hours is the new official time. Bear with me I have been awke ten minutes no coffee. My wife and I have 2 server’s the first from Exiles release. When you go to login it shows server age 1401 days we wiped it a few years ago decay works.

Second server shows 0 days even though it has been up over a year or more is doings similar to yours I jumped to a different clans base has the same timer as our bases suspected this to be happening hadn’t checked on it. Someone had a similar problem as you a few weeks back and fixed it through Gportal all those server’s showing zero days likely have the same problem
I recommend talking to Gportal will tell you Gportal originally said it was a Funcom issue but they managed to get it fixed on Gportal end you might be able to search the Forum for the thread. Good luck let us know what happens

Look at all the zero days server’s and a few with low days I feel it’s something in setup

Found it has to do with settings

Second server and was set at base default decay :+1:

Well my friend we are not the only one’s. When I went on our Siptah server another clans base had the exact same time with repair hammer as ours so I think we are triggering the timer no one on server before I login I sent a message to the other fellow to find out how his server is working.
