Did they specify what happens with clan ownership with the UE5 upgrade? do i trust funcom spaghetti code to transfer me and my clan mates without losing base ownership?

i read the notes, bases, thralls, character, it all upgrades to UE5, got that.

But what about if who owns the building is a clan? does the whole clan transfer? does just the leader end up with ownership?

does everyone transfer and end up in no clan and the clan dissolves decaying the whole base?

Was this tested first at all by funcom? do we know if clans retain their naming and ownership on the upgrade or do we need to disband and give it all to 1 person to avoid risking bad code deleting everything?

and what if one of my clan mates is from epic games? does he get nuked out of our clan list? does it carry over his name anyway and we have a roster of a guy with no account?

was any of this tested? or are we going to find out on the transfer day if every clan in conan gets nuked to individual ownership of stuff?

With such a huge undertaking and a playtest it makes sense that the makeup of clans and ownership on EL would have been taken into consideration. If I understand everything correctly, technically it’s like any other update.

You bring up a great point about clanmates from Epic/MS though, since they cannot access UE5, are they nuked? Or they remain in the clan list as ghosts…

I think it would be worth it for clans to prepare for that. Like, if the clan leader is Epic/MS, get them to transfer leadership to a Steam clanmate. As well as, getting Epic/MS clanmates to log in before May 5th to dump their loot or clan leader removing their gear. But if they can’t, I think it works differently on PVE? I just poison my clanmates if I need to grab their stuff since we can’t see inventories for other situations.

Now for unwilling/unable.. well. I suppose emotional maturity and using the tools available would need consideration.

The Legacy database will be copied over into Enhanced. Everything that was a part of that database will be in the new database.

Clan ownership is in the database and will port over.

The database does not care what platform you play on.

Whoever is clan leader on Legacy will remain clan leader on Enhanced. If the clan leader plays on Epic, then the clan leader will not log in again until/if Epic gets Enhanced.

It will be the exact same as if your clan leader just decided to stop logging in one day.
