And us step kids in the basement do not rate an explanation.
Planned outage
Be nice if it was to over haul the system.
You work for ZenDesk?
No, I’m saying this based on a comment with screenshot from another player in the forums about the planned outage.
However, the outage doesn’t matter as yet another player has discovered that Funcom is no longer using Zendesk services.
Just so happens that the switch coincides with the outage.
Found this thread for this very reason, zendesk is shown as not existing. Have issues to report and cannot. How does anything get done now?
Something definitely happened, because Zendesk is no longer the third party tool being used by FC, it’s Helpshift.
Clearly Zendesk got mass reported and banned…
As always, the issue isn’t the action itself but the lack of communication.
Conan Exiles saw a surge in players during the last price promotion, and Funcom could have used this new hype to deliver some good news to the growing player base. But once again, they’re missing an opportunity to engage with the community.
I’ve had to reach out to Zen Desk three times, and not once did I get a response. It’s been years since I even remembered that platform existed.
Zendesk is a third party service that Funcom (and many other companies) use and pays for to handle their customer service tickets.
When you make a report on Zendesk, you are not sending a report to a Zendesk person, you are using Zendesk software to contact a FC person who is also using the software. You can see how Zendesk works in this capacity here:
Being as its a third party service, its going to be unpredictable, from our standpoint to when it might have downtime. Only that it will for its own issues and its own maintenance.
