Died of hunger while logged out.
Logged in this morning to find myself at my bedroll with inventory wiped.
Event log shows this happened at 1:00am.
I know it’s too little too late but from now on always, always, always, log out with nothing on you.
Store all of your loot, take off your armour, clear your hotbar. I always have a chest by my bed for this purpose.
If you want to be extra, pull bracelet then log out before respawn, your body will disappear from the map.
Easier said than done when you can’t log out in your home because you can’t log out in it without falling through. I probably should set one up in the guard post I live in that’s lowest to the ground by the front gate.

Ya that’s what I would do, maybe a bedroll just outside?
Maybe. Bed is more likely though. Bedrolls will get replaced if you use one and forgot about it.
Always log out naked, make sure to level sorcery and have a circle ready to respawn body, beware that named thralls after clubbing fall through the grid in 40-50% of the time, relog and they are back, learn recipies on paper fast, when you die they are gone, etc etc.
It’s a great game, but programmers it’s about time to end these bugs instead of a new fireplace or fancy chair.

Hey Kiki, could this be a PC related issue? Or should we Console-User also be worried about this bug?
For, this far, I have not received any complaints about this specific Bug taking place on consoles.

I’ve personally never had it happen to me, but I’ve heard of others getting it in the past. Either that or temperature changes. Neither has been an issue for me that I’m aware of, just drowning from falling through my base while offline.

Hasn’t happened to me on console either. But yeah @Kikigirl ‘s advice isn’t bad!
I don’t follow it myself but I do tend to keep backup copies of stuff around if the gear I have disappears like if I can’t summon corpse etc
If I have something special I may not leave it on my body but tuck it into a chest at my base.
Logging out on solid ground is something I do though so I don’t fall into my foundations
